Na voljo sta dva načina iskanja: enostavno in napredno. Enostavno iskanje lahko zajema niz več besed iz naslova, povzetka, ključnih besed, celotnega besedila in avtorja, zaenkrat pa ne omogoča uporabe operatorjev iskanja. Napredno iskanje omogoča omejevanje števila rezultatov iskanja z vnosom iskalnih pojmov različnih kategorij v iskalna okna in uporabo logičnih operatorjev (IN, ALI ter IN NE). V rezultatih iskanja se izpišejo krajši zapisi podatkov o gradivu, ki vsebujejo različne povezave, ki omogočajo vpogled v podroben opis gradiva (povezava iz naslova) ali sprožijo novo iskanje (po avtorjih ali ključnih besedah).

Amphiphilic coumarin-based probes for live-cell STED nanoscopy of plasma membrane

Povzetek: Plasma membranes are vital biological structures, serving as protective barriers and participating in various cellular processes. In the field of super-resolution optical microscopy, stimulated emission depletion (STED) nanoscopy has emerged as a powerful method for investigating plasma membrane-related phenomena. However, many applications of STED microscopy are critically restricted by the limited availability of suitable fluorescent probes. This paper reports on the development of two amphiphilic membrane probes, SHE-2H and SHE-2N, specially designed for STED nanoscopy. SHE-2N, in particular, demonstrates quick and stable plasma membrane labelling with negligible intracellular redistribution. Both probes exhibit outstanding photostability and resolution improvement in STED nanoscopy, and are also suited for two-photon excitation microscopy. Furthermore, microscopy experiments and cytotoxicity tests revealed no noticeable cytotoxicity of probe SHE-2N at concentration used for fluorescence imaging. Spectral analysis and fluorescence lifetime measurements conducted on probe SHE-2N using giant unilamellar vesicles, revealed that emission spectra and fluorescence lifetimes exhibited minimal sensitivity to lipid composition variations. These novel probes significantly augment the arsenal of tools available for high-resolution plasma membrane research, enabling a more profound exploration of cellular processes and dynamics

How lipids suppress cavitation in biological fluids

Povzetek: Cavitation in water under tension is often initiated at nanoscale hydrophobic surface defects that stabilize preexisting nanobubbles. We hypothesize that amphiphilic molecules, such as polar lipids, can adsorb onto these defects and suppress cavitation by removing nanobubble nucleation sites.

Foundations for a generic ontology for visualization : a comprehensive survey

Povzetek: This paper surveys existing ontologies for visualization, which formally define and organize knowledge about visualization concepts, techniques, and tools. Although visualization is a mature field, the rapid growth of data complexity makes semantically rich frameworks increasingly essential for building intelligent and automated visualization systems. Current ontologies remain fragmented, heterogeneous, and inconsistent in terminology and modeling strategies, limiting their coverage and adoption. We present a systematic analysis of representative ontologies, highlighting shared themes and, most importantly, the gaps that hinder unification. These gaps provide the foundations for developing a comprehensive, generic ontology of visualization, aimed at unifying core concepts and supporting reuse across research and practice.

An advanced miniature fluidic system in multilayer ceramic technology with precise temperature and flow control for in situ pollution monitoring

Povzetek: Rapid, on-site, water-quality monitoring is necessary to prevent and remediate environmental pollution. This study aims to develop a miniature, portable, fluidic system (MFS) designed for the easy insertion of disposable, screen-printed electrodes (SPEs) and the measurement of an electrochemical response (EC) under controlled temperature and flow conditions. The three-dimensional MFS, realised in low-temperature, cofired ceramic and multilayer ceramic technology, consist of three distinct cavities, each with separate inlet and outlet channels. These channels are designed to maintain an equivalent flow rate across all three cavities. The MFS allows simultaneous measurements at three measuring sites, temperature control of the fluid from room temperature to 125 °C via integrated heaters and temperature sensors, and flow regulation up to 20 mL/min via an external fluid pump. The EC values obtained from the SPEs in a standard solution of potassium ferrocyanide/potassium ferricyanide at room temperature and under stagnant conditions were consistent with measurements conducted in the MFS, droplet and conventional electrochemical cells, confirming the accuracy and reliability of the MFS. The EC response was confirmed in the MFS under flow conditions of 4 mL/min and temperatures of 25 °C, 35 °C, and 45 °C. This shows that multilayer ceramic technology enables the fabrication of a miniature, three-dimensional MFS with integrated fluidic and electronic components that provide reliable and accurate electrochemical measurements using a commercial SPE under controlled flow and temperature conditions.
