One measurement was performed for each material. The data are linked to Figure 1 in the article. The dataset contains the original data of equilibrium moisture content (EMC) determined at 65% relative humidity for native spruce and beech wood and both MgCO3 treated wood species. Five measurements per material were performed. The data are linked to Table 1 in the article. Moreover data of pH values of each material is shown. Five measurements per material were performed. The data are linked to Table 1 in the article. The dataset also contains original results of cone calorimeter data for native spruce and beech wood and both MgCO3 treated wood species. This includes all heat release rate HRR data, time of ignition (tignition), total heat release (THR), fire growth rate index (FIGRA) and total smoke production data with all calculations. The data are linked to Table 1 and Figure 5 in the article. The dataset also contains all the mass loses and calculation for fungal durability test according to EN 113-1 (2021). Two different fungi were used: brown rot fungi (Gloeophyllum trabeum) and white rot fungi (Trametes versicolor). The data are linked to Figure 5 in the article.
