1. A new perspective on the molecular dating of the stone crayfsh with an extended phylogeographic information on the speciesDavid Stanković, Katarina Zorić, Simona Đuretanović, Gorana Stamenković, Marija Ilić, Vanja Marković, Saša Marić, 2024, izvirni znanstveni članek Povzetek: Reconstructing the origin and historical
biogeography of the Austropotamobius torrentium is
hampered by insufcient phylogeographic coverage
of the Balkans and deep contradictions in previous
molecular dating. The present work extends the phylogeographic coverage to Serbia, a country crucial for
understanding the species southward dispersal. Our
analysis revealed that the Southern Balkans lineage
occurs in most of the country, the Central and southeastern Europe lineage is restricted to the southwest
and northeast of the country, while a single population in the north of the country harbors the Lika and
Dalmatia lineage, which was previously thought to be
restricted to the northern-central Dinarides. Dataset
expansion led to revised phylogenetic relationships,
which indicated that the Apuseni lineage is not nested
within Northern-central Dinarides lineages but arose
after the most basal split within Austropotamobius
torrentium. This ‘Apuseni frst’ phylogeny provides
a new perspective for molecular dating, according to
which the split between Austropotamobius pallipes
and A. torrentium took place in the Late Oligocene,
while the formation of the phyletic lineages and the
dispersal from the Dinarides to Serbia occurred in
the late Miocene and is probably associated with the
complex and protracted process of disintegration of
the Neogene freshwater lakes in southeastern Europe. 3. How well did the healthcare system respond to the healthcare needs of older people with and without dementia during the COVID-19 pandemic : the perception of healthcare providers and older people from the SI4CARE Project in the ADRION RegionStella Fragkiadaki, Dionysia Kontaxopolou, Darja Šemrov, Simon Colnar, Mitja Luštrek, Bojan Blažica, Vlado Dimovski, Sokratis G. Papageorgiou, 2023, izvirni znanstveni članek Povzetek: One major challenge during the COVID-19 pandemic was the limited accessibility to healthcare facilities, especially for the older population. The aim of the current study was the exploration of the extent to which the healthcare systems responded to the healthcare needs of the older people with or without cognitive impairment and their caregivers in the Adrion/Ionian region. Data were collected through e-questionnaires regarding the adequacy of the healthcare system and were anonymously administered to older individuals and stakeholder providers in the following countries: Slovenia, Italy (Calabria), Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Greece, Montenegro, and Serbia. Overall, 722 older people and 267 healthcare stakeholders participated in the study. During the COVID-19 pandemic, both healthcare stakeholders and the older population claimed that the healthcare needs of the older people and their caregivers increased dramatically in all countries, especially in Italy (Calabria), Croatia and BiH. According to our results, countries from the Adrion/Ionian regions faced significant challenges to adjust to the special needs of the older people during the COVID-19 pandemic, which was possibly due to limited accessibility opportunities to healthcare facilities. These results highlight the need for the development of alternative ways of providing medical assistance and supervision when in-person care is not possible. 4. Children's daily routine response to COVID-19 emergency measures in SerbiaJovan Vuković, Radenko Matić, Ivana Milovanović, Nebojša Maksimović, Dragan Krivokapić, Saša Pišot, 2021, drugi znanstveni članki Povzetek: Objective: The emergence of coronavirus in Serbia as well as in other European countries led to the declaration of a state of emergency, which, among other measures, included a switch to online education, the lockdown of public life and organized sports, and a curfew from 5 pm to 5 am. This study aimed to investigate the extent to which these measures affected children's daily routines. More specifically, it aimed to determine how children maintained their learning, physical activity, and screen time routines from the period before the state of emergency was declared. Methods: Response to an online parent-reported questionnaire was conducted (N = 450). The factorial validity of the scales was prepared using confirmatory factor analysis, with acceptable fit indices. Based on that, the authors tested the interrelations between dimensions using structural equation modeling in SPSS, AMOS 24.0. Results: The study results indicate a positive relationship between school achievement and study time (% = 0.25). They also indicate that children who were physically active before the pandemic continued their activities during the emergency state (% = 0.53). Physical activity impact during the COVID-19 emergency measures reduces children%s behavior changes (% = 0.55). Finally, they highlight that children who spent more time with multimedia content had greater changes in anxiety, sensitivity, nervousness, and worry due to COVID-19 emergency measures (% = %0.38). Conclusions: Healthy lifestyle habits formed in childhood are suggested to be responsible for the greater %resistance to change% shown by the children from this study.
