Napredno iskanje omogoča omejevanje števila rezultatov iskanja z vnosom iskalnih pojmov različnih kategorij v iskalna okna in uporabo logičnih operatorjev (IN, ALI ter IN NE).

D4.1 - Citizen Science Playbook
Shé Mackenzie Hawke, Francesco Pilla, Irina Moira Cavaion, Cécil J. W. Meulenberg, 2025, končno poročilo o rezultatih raziskav

Povzetek: The aimof this documentisto presentthe Engagement Strategy (ES)fortheCoastalCity Living Lab (CCLL) and citizen science activities thatwas developedwithin WP4 (Task 4.1). Theseactivitieswere guided by theimpetus of the Paris Agreement and by our Standard Ethical Protocol(SEP), defining theprivacy, principles and practice forparticipatory engagement from citizens and other actors. This report also provides Learning Modules developed by WP4 to give CCLL participants the opportunity to gain knowledge on climate adaptation and the SCORE project approaches through description of basic knowledge and the key terminology used (provided as a glossary). The report further provides an overview ofwebsitelinks, videos, webinars and courses with brief descriptions of variousresources and tools to educate and instruct further how to set-up citizen science activities for climate-focused CCLLs. The document’s whole content is dictated to empower CCLL stakeholders through transfer of basic knowledge on climate change concepts as highlighted by the SCORE project. Therefore the Engagement Strategy and the Learning Modules detailthe useof CCLLs, citizen science, do-it-yourself (DIY)sensortechnology, and participatory co-creation and co-design activities, as well asthe EBA approach. It guides howto engage and motivatestakeholders and citizen scientist participants using tools and resourses in the CCLL context, by activities executed in a series of capacity building workshops, co-creation workshops, and citizen science and DIY sensor familiarisation workshops. Familiarisation to principal climate change knowledgeis needed to direct, engage andmotivateparticipants. Coastal flooding and erosion, extreme weather events and associated changesin precipitation, are themoststriking aspects of climate change related to coastal cities, alongwith ocean rise in volumeand temperature. SCOREaddressed those issues alongwith their impacts, and included thosechallenges within its framework according to each CCLL primary challenges. The engagement task provided this background information, with the learning modules and tools documented in this report addressing these issues in a more comprehensive fashion. Participatory engagement is a vital aspect of any Living Lab project. SCORE applied an inclusive participatory engagement methodology, that involved the recruitment of a range of voluntary participants or citizen scientists, primarily adults, who come from a variety of classes, gender, ethnic, religious and cultural backgrounds, as well as from industry and business, academia, general public and governance. Participants were recruited through public surveys, social media platforms and standardmulti-media platformssuch as notice boards and newspapers, as well as through community networks and publicmeetings, and participated in a series of ‘howto’ CCLL capacity building and co-creation workshops, as well as citizen science and DIY sensor familiarisation workshops throughout the project. As this document will be publicly available after the completion of the project, its orderly representation of the project illustrating consistentinteraction with project partners and with external CCLL stakeholders, will be a guide on how to engage stakeholders in citizen science initiatives and can build a CCLL with a climate adaptation focus.

A comprehensive guide to potato transcriptome assembly
Maja Zagorščak, Marko Petek, 2021, samostojni znanstveni sestavek ali poglavje v monografski publikaciji

Povzetek: We have witnessed a rapid advancement in high-throughput genome sequencing and the maturation of long-read technologies. However, an accurate assembly of polyploid potato genomes still remains challenging. Sequencing the double-monoploid genome of Solanum tuberosum Group Phureja (Xu et al., Nature 475:189–195, 2011) has enabled functional studies of polyploid potato cultivars using RNA sequencing (RNA-Seq) technologies, although with the limitation of not covering cultivar-specific gene expression. The accumulated RNA-Seq datasets from these cultivars can be leveraged to assemble tetraploid potato transcriptomes that enable the analysis of genes that are not limited to reference genome annotations. To increase transcriptomes’ quality, short-read assemblies are nowadays complemented with full-length transcriptome sequencing using Pacific Biosciences or Oxford Nanopore platforms. In this chapter we give a detailed guide on a pipeline for de novo transcriptome assembly of polyploid potato genotypes and their integration into a pan-transcriptome.

Methodologies for discovery and quantitative profiling of sRNAs in potato
Maja Križnik, Maja Zagorščak, Kristina Gruden, 2021, samostojni znanstveni sestavek ali poglavje v monografski publikaciji

Povzetek: Small RNAs (sRNAs) are short noncoding RNAs involved in the regulation of a wide range of biological processes in plants. Advances in high-throughput sequencing and development of new computational tools had facilitated the discovery of different classes of sRNAs, their quantification, and elucidation of their functional role in gene expression regulation by target transcript predictions. The workflow presented here allows identification of different sRNA species: known and novel potato miRNAs, and their sequence variants (isomiRs), as well as identification of phased small interfering RNAs (phasiRNAs). Moreover, it includes steps for differential expression analysis to search for regulated sRNAs across different tested biological conditions. In addition, it describes two different methods for predicting sRNA targets, in silico prediction, and degradome sequencing data analysis. All steps of the workflow are written in a clear and user-friendly way; thus they can be followed also by the users with minimal bioinformatics knowledge. We also included several in-house scripts together with valuable notes to facilitate data (pre)processing steps and to reduce the analysis time.

RNA sequencing analyses for deciphering potato molecular responses
Živa Ramšak, Marko Petek, Špela Baebler, 2021, samostojni znanstveni sestavek ali poglavje v monografski publikaciji

Povzetek: Understanding the molecular mechanisms of potato development and responses to environmental stressors is of utmost importance for achieving stable crop yields. RNA sequencing (RNA-Seq) provides an insight into responses of all of the organism genes to the environmental and developmental cues and thus provides insights into underlying modes of action. In this chapter, we guide a researcher through some of the most important steps in the analysis of transcriptomics data. The initial topic of experimental design is followed by a more wet-lab-oriented section on RNA-Seq sample preparation. Next, we present intermediate steps of data retrieval, quality control, mapping, and differential expression of the dataset and a section on how to expose your data to the public (i.e., public repositories) and make it findable, accessible, interoperable, and reusable (FAIR). In the last four sections, we describe specific tools or Web applications, which ease the exploration of generated results in the context of their gene function and network-based visualizations, specifically GoMapMan, GSEA, DiNAR, and Biomine Explorer. All sections are accompanied by potato dataset examples and include general hints and tricks, as well as potato specificities that one should be aware of.

Serbian press and Eastern Ortodoxy in Serbia in the 1980s
Petar Dragišić, 2025, izvirni znanstveni članek

Povzetek: The paper examines Serbian press coverage of the resurgence of Eastern Ortho-doxy in Serbia during the 1980s. It is based on an analysis of the most influential daily, weekly, and monthly newspapers and magazines printed in Serbia between 1980 and 1990. The research aims to reconstruct perceptions of the revival of re-ligiosity in Serbia during this period and to identify its root causes. The research showed a close causal connection between the change in public perception of religion, that is, the revival of religiosity in Serbia, and the changed political en-vironment in former Yugoslavia in the 1980s. The research suggests that the esca-lation of tensions in Kosovo triggered the ethnic mobilization of Serbian society and consequently strengthened the influence of the Serbian Orthodox Church in Serbia in the late 1980s

The prohibition of women's veiling in the Region of Gora
Jadranka Đorđević Crnobrnja, 2025, izvirni znanstveni članek

Povzetek: This paper examines the application of the Act on the Removal of the Veil (Zarand Feredža) in the Gora region in the mid-20th century. Gora is a mountainous area located between the peaks of Šarplanina, Koritnik, and Korab. In administra-tive terms, it includes the borough of Dragaš and 18 villages. The Act on the Removal of the Veil came into effect in the people’s Republic of Serbia in 1951 and can be seen as an extremely radical step by the communist government. Its application involved the prohibition of wearing garments that Muslim women used to cover their heads and bodies. With this Act, two ideals of communist governance were promoted – the emancipation of women and the achievement of gender equality. According to the memories of the people from Gora, the Act had a very traumatic effect on many women in the Gorani commu-nity. It primarily disrupted the continuity of a centuries-old tradition of wearing headscarves and terlik, which also expressed the marital status of women within the Gorani community. This paper starts from the assumption that the ban on covering represents a strategy for promoting secular political ideologies, while highlighting the limita-tion of religious freedoms. The Act on the Removal of the Veil is analysed within the framework of a state-imposed process of secularization in the local community.

The dynamics of atheization in postwar communist Montenegro
Todor Lakić, Boris Vukićević, Saša Knežević, 2025, izvirni znanstveni članek

Povzetek: This article presents the concept and dynamics of secularization policies and the atheization process in Montenegrin society following World War II. The pro-cess of secularization began with the Communist party’s rise to power and had its most significant manifestations until the mid-1950s. In this research, in addition to the specific secularization policies of the communist authorities, an analysis of the relationship of the state, that is, the communist authorities, towards the religious communities in Montenegro is given. Montenegro was the Yugoslav republic in which the process of atheization and secularization took place most intensively in relation to the federal level. The research presented in the article also includes an analysis of the results of the secularization of the three largest religious commu-nities in Montenegro.
