Digital repository of Slovenian research organizations

In accordance with the Scientific Research and Innovation Activity Act and the Regulation on the Implementation of Scientific Research Work in Accordance with the Principles of Open Science scientific research performers must ensure open access to research data generated in the course of research co-financed by public sources in the amount of at least 50%.

Open access to research data is ensured by storing it in a trusted repository, in accordance with the principles that enable its discoverability, accessibility, interoperability and reusability, i.e., the FAIR principles. In doing so, we follow the principle ''open as much as possible, closed as necessary''. Research data must be stored in repositories and made openly accessible through repositories as soon as possible after its creation and at the latest upon expiry of the co-financing agreement.

It is recommended that research data be stored in formats suitable for long-term storage before being deposited in a repository. Additional information is available at this link.

The ReadMe file is an essential accompanying document that is attached to the prepared data or data set when it is stored in the repository. The file contains all the basic information about the data set. When creating the file, it is recommended to avoid proprietary formats such as Microsoft Word and to prepare it in .txt format.
