What is DiRROS?
The Digital Repository of Research Organizations of Slovenia (DiRROS) is a single entry point for the storage and access to electronic forms of scientific and professional works, reports, research data and other materials created in research organizations or by independent researchers and artists who do not have the possibility of publication (archiving) and storage of electronic resources.
What services does DiRROS offer?
DiRROS offers the service of storing various electronic documents free of charge. Compatibility with the OpenAIRE instructions ensures the exchange of content with other repositories and compliance with the provisions of the European Commission, regarding open access to peer-reviewed scientific publications and research data relating to the results of publicly funded research, as well as the requirements of the Scientific Research and Innovation Activity Act, Regulation on the Implementation of Scientific Research Work in Accordance with the Principles of Open science, policy of individual institutions and financiers.
Does DiRROS provide a plagiarism check?
In the process of submission to the DiRROS, it is possible for each material to trigger detection of content similarity (plagiarism) according to all documents on the National Open Science Portal.
What repository search options does DiRROS offer?
In the DiRROS there are two search modes: simple and advanced. A simple search can cover a string of multiple words from the title, abstract, keywords, full text, and author information, but does not yet allow the use of search operators. Advanced search allows limiting the number of search results by entering search terms of different categories in the search windows and using logical operators (AND, OR and AND NOT). By default, shorter records with links are displayed in the search results, which allow insight into a detailed description of the material (link from the title) or initiate a new search (by authors or keywords).
Does DiRROS enable the display of statistics of the organization's material?
DiRROS statistics enable an overview of the use of the repository from various aspects: display of the number of new and total number of materials by individual organizations included in DiRROS (only materials with the full text (with file or URL) are covered, regardless of the language of the document), insight into the most viewed material and the most frequently downloaded file (weekly, monthly), overview by type of archived materials and files, and annual usage statistics (number of views and downloads).
