Publishing in open access (gold OA route) is often associated with the payment of publication costs: APC (Article Processing Charge), BPC (Book Processing Charge), CPC (Chapter Processing Charge) and BCPC (Book Chapter Processing Charge).
In principle, the following applies:
- hybrid journal publications - APC payment is always required,
- gold open access - APC payment is required,
- diamond open access - the journal publisher covers the costs of publication in other ways, for example through sponsorship or fundraising via institutions, libraries, initiatives, or associations, and does not require payment directly from the author,
- publication of a monograph or chapter in a monograph - BPC, BCPC (CPC) payment may or may not be required.
Actual data on the payment of publication costs must be obtained from the author (or his institution).
DiRROS ''Additional''/''Dodatno'' tab:
- enter the total amount of publication costs excluding VAT
- without including any special costs related to publication, such as submission costs, payment for additional pages, technical and graphic design of the contribution, possible costs for corrections to the publication (corrigenda) et cetera (we follow the methods described under Definition of costs na OpenAPC.de).
If there are no publication costs (open publication without costs for the author or their institution, or use voucher, etc.), leave the box blank.
