The possibilities of the prevention of colorectal carcinoma
Abstract:
The article brings the overview of literature on the epidemiology of colorectal carcinoma and primary, secondary and tertiary prevention. Stressed is the influence of dietal factors which either enhance or prevent the occurence of colorectal carcinoma. The author describes the groups at risk andthe methods of secondary prevention. In the frames of tertiary prevention, the effects of chemopreventive agents are described.
