There are two search modes available: simple and advanced. Simple search can include one or more words from the title, summary, keywords or full text, but does not allow the use of search operators. Advanced search allows to limit the number of search results by entering the search terms of different categories in the search window, as well as the use of Boolean search operators (AND, OR and AND NOT). In search results short formats of records are displayed and some data are displayed as links, which open a detailed description of the material (title link) or perform a new search (author or keyword link).

Občina Ajdovščina s protipožarnimi objekti 1:40.000
Jaša Saražin, Gašper Ogrin, 2025, dictionary, encyclopaedia, lexicon, manual, atlas, map

Abstract: Deležniki s področja upravljanja s požari v naravnem okolju z zahodnega območja Slovenije so večkrat izpostavili potrebo po ažuriranem kartnem gradivu za potrebe izvajanja preventivnih in intervencijskih ukrepov za omejevanje požarov v naravnem okolju. Zahvala: Zemljevid je nastal v sklopu Interreg projekta Wildfire CE—Enabling cross-boundary assessment, communication and management of wildfire risks in Central Europe (št projekta: CE0200934), s sodelovanjem Gozdarskega inštituta Slovenije, Občine Ajdovščina in Zavoda za Gozdove Slovenije.

Abstract: Prispevek tematizira ideale in perspektive telesnosti v obdobju pred in po prvi svetovni vojni in jih postavlja v okvir sočasnih poskusov celovite povojne obnove življenj.

The clock is ticking : understanding the ‘mixed feelings’ about fusion energy in Europe

Abstract: If it can be made to work, fusion energy offers the potential for unlimited, clean energy. This prospect has seen substantial investment in the science and engineering behind fusion in order to demonstrate its viability. As key societal stakeholders, the opinions and actions of publics can shape the success of emerging energy technologies. To date, however, there have been relatively few studies focused on the public acceptability of fusion. The current study provides insight into public perspectives about fusion in five European countries (Belgium, Hungary, Italy, Slovenia and Spain). Using a qualitative ‘World Caf´ e’ type method, participants (n =10–25 per country) were provided with basic and balanced information about fusion, before being invited to discuss the risks, benefits and drawbacks of the technology and investment in its development. Transcripts from each World Caf´ e were subject to template analysis. The results indicated that while awareness of fusion was low in each country, participants were broadly supportive of fusion. This support was, however, tentative due to its commercially unproven nature. This stimulated questions about the value of investment in the technology, particularly given the urgency of addressing climate change. While there was some variation in the sub-topics raised and discussed in each country, the principal themes raised were broadly comparable. These findings add to our systematic understanding of the ‘mixed feelings’ held about fusion and have implications for future public engagement and communication efforts relating to the technology.

Impacts of high PV penetration on Slovenia’s electricity grid : Energy Modeling and Life Cycle Assessment
Jože Dimnik, Jelena Topić, Ante Čikić, Simon Muhič, 2024, original scientific article

Abstract: The complexities of high PV penetration in the electricity grid in Slovenia based on targets proposed in national energy and climate plan were explored. Scenarios modeled an increase in installation power from 1800 MW in 2030 to 8000 MW in 2050. They were analyzed using energy modeling and life cycle assessment to assess the technical and environmental aspects of high PV grid penetration. The results showed that the increase in PV production from 2200 GWh (2030) to 11,090 GWh (2050) showed an unfavorable course of excess electricity in the system, resulting in the need for short-term and long-term storage strategies and exports of electricity. LCA analysis showed that penetration of a high share of PV results in a decrease in the impact category of global warming, which is higher in 2050 green scenarios that phase out coal and lignite electricity sources (80.5% decrease) compared to the 2020 baseline scenario. The increase in mineral resource scarcity can be observed with an increase in PV share when comparing the 2030 (50%) and 2050 (150%) BAU scenarios with the baseline scenario (2020). Factors such as environmental impacts, technical challenges, and the impact on the grid must be considered when implementing a decarbonization strategy.
