Abstract:V ladijskem kontejnerju smo spremljali mikroklimatske razmere (relativna vlažnost zraka in temperatura).

Title:Microclimate conditions in an intermodal container
Abstract:Microclimatic conditions (relative air humidity and temperature) were monitored in an intermodal container with technically dry Norway spruce (Picea abies) wood inside. Container was on its 10 weeks lasting transport from Slovenia to Japan. In parallel, the susceptibility of Norway spruce wood to discolouring fungi was determined in laboratory conditions and sorption properties of wood were elucidated with a dynamic vapour sorption (DVS) analysis. Considerable fungal discoloration developed on wood surfaces that were exposed to a climate with RH above 93%. The results of the laboratory assessment correlated with the observations of mould development in the container. The RH in the container was below 93%, so there was no mould growth on the transported Norway spruce wood.
Keywords:Norway spruce wood, relative humidity, temperature, mould, blue stain fungi
