Abstract:V prispevku je predstavljen razvoj metodološkega premika z zgolj teksta k upoštevanju teksture in konteksta folklornega dogodka, kar je v 70. letih 20. stoletja postalo temelj sodobnih folklorističnih raziskav; k mednaro-dnemu teoretičnemu razvoju sta pripomogla tudi slovenska raziskovalca Matija Murko in Milko Matičetov.

Title:Methodological shifts in the study of narrative folklore : the contribution of Milko Matičetov
Abstract:The article presents the development of a methodological shift from focusing solely on text to taking into account the texture and context of folklore events, which became the basis of contemporary folklore research in the 1970s. The Slovenian researchers Matija Murko and Milko Matičetov also contributed to international theoretical developments. The latter documented and thus preserved an extensive collection of Slovenian folklore storytelling by reflecting on its performative, social, and communicative aspects, and above all through intensive fieldwork with the best Slovenian storytellers in the decades after World War II. However, the analysis and publication of the repertoires of individual storytellers lagged behind; the gradual scientific and critical publication of the material only began in 2010 with the collection Slovenski pravljičarji (Slovenian Storytellers), published by the Institute of Slovenian Ethnology at the ZRC SAZU.
