V Sloveniji sta vključeni enoti Krokar in Snežnik.

Title:Ancient and Primeval Beech Forests of the Carpathians and other regions of Europe
Abstract:The Ancient and Primeval Beech Forests inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List constitute the most complex serial and transnational property, comprising 93 components within 51 protected areas across 18 European countries. Their protection is founded on significant ecological and biological processes associated with ecosystem development, including succession, long-term ecological dynamics, and reference state of forests undisturbed by human influence. Effective management requires coordinated cooperation among the States Parties, with shared objectives focused on conservation, research, and the sustainable management of this heritage. In Slovenia, the Krokar and Snežnik components are included.
Keywords:UNESCO, World natural heritage, beech forest, ecological process, protected area, transnational management
