Title:Tiskani mediji in navodila za kuhanje : primer obdobja med svetovnima vojnama na Slovenskem

Abstract:Navodila za kuhanje sta v medvojnem obdobju obvladovala dva (tiskana) medija: kuharske knjige in časopis. Oba sta predstavljala pomembno referenčno točko in vir nav- diha za gospodinje v času med prvo in drugo svetovno vojno. Pričujoči prispevek ima dvo- jen namen. Prvi je pregledati dostopno literaturo in analize, narejene na temo izbranega ženskega časopisja (Ženski svet, Mladika, Vigred, Mati in gospodinja) in devetih kuhar- skih knjig, izdanih med prvo in drugo svetovno vojno na slovenskem etničnem območju Dravske banovine in Julijske krajine, ob tem pa predstaviti njihov domet, okvir delovanja in avtorice, ki so vodile oblikovanje njihovih kulinaričnih vsebin. Drugi namen je na podlagi teorije družbene strukture francoskega sociologa Pierra Bourdieuja pokazati na povezave med življenjskimi potmi avtoric in njihovimi pristopi k oblikovanju kulinariki namenjenih besedil.

Title:Printed media and cooking instructions
Abstract:During the interwar period, cooking instructions were primarily found in two printed media: cookery books and newspapers. Both served as valuable references and sources of inspiration for housewives during that time. The purpose of this contribution is twofold. The first aim is to review the existing literature and the analyses of selected women’s magazines (Ženski Svet, Mladika, Vigred, Mati in gospodinja)and nine cookery books published in the interwar period in the Slovenian ethnic territory of the Drava Banate and Venezia Giulia, as well as to present their scope, the context of their activities, and the authors who supervised the creation of their culinary content. The second goal is to draw on the French sociologist Pierre Bourdieu’s theory of social structure to illustrate the connections between the authors’ life paths and their approaches to culinary writing.
