Title:Vplivi vzgona na objekte : študija primera nadzorovanega spuščanja dvignjene podzemne garaže

Abstract:V zadnjih desetletjih se znatno povečuje število nadzemnih kot tudi podzemnih etaž objektov, grajenih na pomembnejših lokacijah urbanih središč. Z razvojem mest se gradijo tudi obsežna podzemna komunalna infrastruktura, predori podzemnih železnic itd. Visoki ali nihajoči nivoji podzemnih vod lahko povzročijo, da se podzemne konstrukcije, ki tvorijo zaprt podzemni prostor, dvignejo zaradi delovanja vzgona. Prekomernemu vzgonu, ki nastopi, če se ne sprejmejo ustrezni projektni in izvedbeni varnostni ukrepi, se pogosto posveča premalo pozornosti. Konstrukcije objektov, poškodovanih zaradi vplivov vzgona, je treba temeljito preiskati, saj je mogoče le tako ugotoviti, ali je njihova sanacija sploh mogoča ali pa jih bo treba, zaradi tehnološke neizvedljivosti ali prevelikih sanacijskih stroškov, porušiti. V prispevku predstavimo metodologijo za obravnavo stanja objektov, ki jih je prizadel prekomerni vzgon, in to podpremo s študijo primera. Pokažemo, kako sta neustrezno načrtovanje in pomanjkljiva izvedba enega samega detajla podzemne garaže povzročila njen nenadni dvig. S temeljitim pregledom lokacije, poškodovanega objekta, projektne dokumentacije in dodatnimi izračuni je bil razvit tehnološki postopek za nadzorovano spuščanje podzemne garaže.

Title:Buoyancy effects on structures : a case study on the controlled lowering of a raised underground garage
Abstract:In recent decades, both above-ground and underground storeys of buildings have increased substantially at high-value urban locations. With urban development, extensive underground utility infrastructure, subway tunnels, etc., are also being constructed. High or fluctuating groundwater levels can generate uplift forces on enclosed underground structures, yet engineers often overlook this excessive buoyancy hazard when precautions are insufficient. Structures damaged by buoyancy require a thorough investigation to assess rehabilitation feasibility or to determine whether removal is necessary due to technical or economic constraints. This article presents a methodology for evaluating buoyancy-affected structures and developing rehabilitation solutions, illustrated through a case study. An inadequate design and execution of a single detail of an underground garage caused its sudden uplift. Based on site examination, review of design documentation, and uplift stability verification, a controlled lowering and rehabilitation procedure was successfully developed and implemented
