Abstract:Prispevek tematizira zgodovinske in idejne izvore nastanka iranskega antiimperializma, ki danes predstavlja enega od temeljev ideološke zasnove Islamske republike Iran. Tovrsten antiimperializem se kaže predvsem v obliki odpora proti dominaciji Združenih držav Amerike in Izraela na Bližnjem vzhodu. Zaradi specifičnosti in kompleksnosti na začetku prispevka pojem »iranski antiimperializem« tudi analiziram in pojasnim, da se v pričujočem prispevku osredotočam zgolj na tako imenovani institucionalizirani antiimperializem, ki ga prav tako definiram. V prvem delu članka ugotavljam, da je bila dinastija Pahlavi, ki je Iranu vladala od leta 1921 pa vse do revolucije leta 1979, v celoti kolonialen projekt, ki iranskemu ljudstvu ni dovoljeval lastnega političnega agensa. V drugem delu prispevka se ukvarjam z idejnimi izvori oz. teoretsko utemeljitvijo antiimperializma v Iranu v obdobju pred revolucijo. Analiziram vpliv islamsko-marksističnega misleca Alija Šariatija ter pisatelja Džalala Al Ahmada na oblikovanje politične misli ajatole Ruholaha Musavija Homeinija, ideološkega očeta Islamske republike.

Title:Iranian Anti-Imperialism
Abstract:This article addresses the historical and ideological origins of Iranian anti-imperialism, which today represents one of the foundational pillars of the ideological framework of the Islamic Republic of Iran. This form of anti-imperialism primarily manifests as resistance to the dominance of the United States and Israel in the Middle East. Due to its specificity and complexity, the concept of “Iranian anti-imperialism” is also analysed and clarified at the beginning of the article, with a focus solely on the so-called institutionalized anti-imperialism, which is likewise defined. In the first part of the article, I argue that the Pahlavi dynasty, which ruled Iran from 1921 until the revolution in 1979, constituted a fully colonial project that denied the Iranian people their own political agency. The second part of the article deals with the ideological origins and theoretical justification of anti-imperialism in Iran in the pre-revolutionary period. I analysed the influence of the Islamic-Marxist thinker Ali Shariati and the writer Jalal Al-e Ahmad on the development of the political thought of Ayatollah Ruhollah Mousavi Khomeini, the ideological father of the Islamic Republic.
