Title:Kulturna raznolikost v zdravstvenih timih : kvalitativna opisna raziskava

Abstract:Uvod: Kulturna raznolikost v zdravstvenih timih je pomembna za zagotavljanje kakovostne oskrbe. Raznolikost pozitivno vpliva na izkušnje in razumevanje potreb pacientov ter ustvarja boljšo timsko dinamiko. Namen raziskave je bil preučiti prisotnost različnih kultur v zdravstvenih timih in stališča zdravstvenih delavcev o kulturnih raznolikostih.Metode: Uporabljena je bila kvalitativna opisna metoda. Podatki so bili zbrani z delno strukturiranim intervjujem, ki je vključeval demografske podatke in odprta vprašanja o izkušnjah zdravstvenih delavcev s kulturno raznolikostjo v zdravstvenih timih. Namenski vzorec je vključeval 28 zdravstvenih delavcev različnih zdravstvenih ved. Intervjuji so bili analizirani z metodo analize vsebine. Rezultati: Identificirane so bile štiri osrednje tematske kategorije: (1) vloga strokovnega znanja in profesionalnega pristopa pri zagotavljanju kakovostne oskrbe, (2) pomen dobre komunikacije in sposobnost prilagajanja; (3) pomembnost dinamike in podpore v zdravstvenem timu ter (4) kulturna raznolikost in pogledi zdravstvenih delavcev. Večina meni, da kulturna raznolikost obogati izkušnje in prispeva k empatiji.Diskusija in zaključek: Sodelujoči v raziskavi so izpostavili tako pozitivne kot negativne izkušnje s kulturno raznolikostjo. Izkazalo se je, da se lahko različna znanja, izkušnje in poglede v timu uspešno poveže, če so vzpostavljeni spoštljivi odnosi in jasno opredeljene strokovne smernice, ki služijo kot vodilo za kakovostno opravljanje zdravstvene oskrbe v kulturno raznolikih timih.

Title:Cultural diversity in health teams : a qualitative descriptive study
Abstract:Introduction: Cultural diversity in healthcare teams is important for ensuring quality care. Diversity has a positive impact on understanding patients' needs and improving team dynamics. The aim of this study was to examine the presence of different cultures in healthcare teams and healthcare professionals attitudes towards cultural diversity.Methods: We used a qualitative descriptive method. Data were collected through semi-structured interviews, which included demographic data and open-ended questions about health professionals' experiences with cultural diversity in healthcare teams. The purposive sample comprised 28 health professionals from different healthcare disciplines. The interviews were analysed using content analysis.Results: Four main thematic categories were identified: (1) the role of expertise and a professional approach to providing quality care, (2) the importance of effective communication and adaptability, (3) the importance of team dynamics and support in healthcare teams, and (4) cultural diversity and health professionals' perspectives. Most respondents expressed the belief that cultural diversity enriches their experiences and contributes to empathy. Discussion and conclusion: Respondents highlighted both the benefits and drawbacks of cultural diversity. Results show that different skills, experiences and perspectives can be successfully integrated into healthcare teams provided that respectful relationships are established and clearly defined professional guidelines support the quality of care in culturally diverse teams
