Title:The impact of excess weight, constitution and manual work on the occurence of urinary incontinence in women
Abstract:The article brings the description urinary incontinence in women, and describes itćs complexity and incidence, proceeding from the classification ofthe disorder in the light of different aspects, and the descriptions the most frequent forms. The epidemiology and etiological factors, influencing theoccurence of urinary incontinence, as well as diagnostics and treatment, are also described. Three out of twelve risk factors are exposed, i.e.Č excessweight, constitution and manual work. The research sample was represented by a group of women with diagnosed urinary incontinence from the Gynecological Hospital in Ljubljana, and a group of women without any problemswith the retention of urine, from the Health Station in Ljubljana. Thearticle stresses the importance of holistic approach to women before the occurence of urinary incontinence, all of which is important for health education of women on all levels of health care and in all age groups.
