Title:The ratio between preventive and curative nursing care in community health nursing from 1984 to 1993
Abstract:The article deals with the community nursing care as an independent service, organized on the primary level of health care, representing a special branch of it. It presents the field of work of nursing care and the philosophy of community health nursing. The empirical part presents the workers in communitynursing care in the Health Service in Ljubljana according to educational level, number and in comparison with the number of inhabitants perone community nurse and the number of inhabitants per one nursing team in the period from 1984 to 1993. The data show that curative nursing care is on the increase, as well as the number of qualified nurses in comparison with nursing assistants, midwives and auxiliary nurses. The number of inhabitants per one nurse exceeds three thousand, which represents the crisis normative, and the number of inhabitants per one nursing team is under three thousand. The research has revealed the quantity of time needed for the carrying out of preventive and curative nursing care.
