Abstract:Izvleček - Bolnišnične okužbe so pri nas in v svetu resen problem. Kljub napredku na področju bolnišnične higiene ostaja higiena rok najpomembnejši člen v verigi prenosa. Razkuževanje rok je najučinkovitejša, najcenejša in najhitrejša rešitev tega problema. Nadomestno zdravljenje s hemodializo predstavlja za bolnika visoko tveganje za razvoj okužbe. Cilj raziskave je bilugotoviti, kako negovalno osebje na oddelku za hemodializo izvaja higieno rok in kakšen je učinek. Rezultati so pokazali, da je higiena rok slaba in da se izvajajo napačne aktivnosti. Razlogi za to so različni, od preobremenjenosti do nezaupanja do sprememb in neznanja. Tu se pokaže potreba po sistematičnem pristopu, ki lahko pripomnre k učinkovitemu reševanju problema.

Title:The significance of hand hygiene in nursing of a patient on chronic dialysis
Abstract:Hospital infections represent a serious problem, in our country and abroad. Inspite of the progress in the field of hospital hygiene in general, the hygiene of hands remains the most important element of the chain of transmission. Hand desinfection is the most effective, the least costly and the quickest solution of the problem. Substitute dialysis treatment present high risk of infection. The goal of the research study was to find out the level of hand hygiene among nurses on the dialysis department. The results revealed poor hand hygiene and inadequate activities. The reasons for this extend from exhaustion to ignorance and distrust in changes. Only a systematicapproach to the problem will bring effective solutions.
