Abstract:
Malarija je najpomembnejša in najpogostejša tropska bolezen. Predstavlja nujnobolezensko stanje, ker lahko naglo napreduje do hudih zapletov in smrti, če ni pravočasno in ustrezno zdravljena. Bolniki s težko obliko malarije so večinoma zdravljeni v intenzivni enoti in potrebujejo stalen nadzor nad življenskimi funkcijami. V članku so predstavljeni možni zapleti pri bolnikih s težko obliko malarije. Medicinska sestra mora zaplete malarije dobro poznati, da lahko pravilno oceni bolnikovo stanje in ob poslabšanju ustrezno ukrepa in izvaja zdravstveno nego.
