Inovativne spremembe so potrebne na področju pokrivanja bolnika ter na področju zaščitnih oblačil operativnega osebja. Danes v veliki večini v slovenskih bolnišnicah v ta namen uporabljajo izdelke iz bombažnih tkanin, kar pokažejo tudi rezultati ankete, ki jo je izpolnilo 64,3% glavnih medicinskih sester operacijskih blokov v Sloveniji. Ti izdelki so oporečni tako s strokovnega kot tudi z zakonodajnega vidika. Nadomestiti jih je potrebno z ustreznimi medicinskimi pripomočki, kar bo pripomoglo predvsem k zmanjšanju tveganja za nastanek pooperativnih okužb. Title:	The introduction of changes in operating theatres - professional and legal issues
Abstract:	The present study is defining the need for innovative changes to be applied tothe operating theatres. Innovative changes are needed in the area of patientdraping and in the area of protective clothing of operating room personnel. Today, most Slovenian hospitals use cotton materials in those two areas, which is confirmed by questionnaire, filled out by head nurses of operating theatres in Slovenia. Cotton materials are questionable from professional and from legal point of view. They have to be replaced with appropriate medical devices, as this will help to decrease risk of postoperative infections.
