Medicinska sestra ima v očesni diagnostiki pomembno vlogo, tako pri pripravi bolnika na preiskavo, kakor tudi med in po njej. Prikazana je obrazložitev namena in metod slikanja v očesni diagnostiki pri diabetični retinopatiji, komunikacija kot sestavni del sodobne zdravstvene nege. Dodatno znanje medicinske sestre s področja računalništva oziroma informatike in digitalne fotografije je nujno potrebno za uporabo sodobnih diagnostično-terapevtskih naprav. Podatki o bolnikih v elektronski obliki, ki jih posreduje zdravniku za izvedbo preiskave, morajo biti ažurni in točni. Zato se pri medicinski sestri zahtevajo dodatna znanja s področja uporabe računalništva. Title:	The role of the nurse in eye diagnostics
Abstract:	The article describes the work of nurse in eye diagnostics as a specific part of ophthalmology. Nurse has an important role in preparation of a patient for the procedure, as well as during and after it. Explanation of the purpose and methods of the recording and communication as a composite part of modern nursing are presented. Additional knowledge from computers and digital photography is absolutely necessary for the use of modern diagnostic and therapeutic resources. Patient data in electronic format required by the physician for the procedure should be updated and accurate.
