Abstract:	Nursing care is a relatively new discipline that has been intensively developing in Slovenia in the last 15 years. It is influenced by economic, political, social and cultural factors, demographic and epidemiologic circumstances and environment. Due to new developmental trends, nursing profession has become an interesting challenge for those who want to perform creatively and contribute their share to better health of all people.
