Abstract:Umrljivost dojenčkov je eden izmed najpomembnejših kazalcev zdravstvenega varstva prebivalstva. Pričujoči pregledni članek obravnava zdravstveno varstvožena in novorojencev. Pri tem je razdeljen na prednosečnostno in predporodno zdravstveno varstvo ter na dileme zdravstvenega varstva žensk. Zadnji sklop obsega pregled posameznih umrljivosti dojenčkov v Sloveniji gledena ostale evropske države in kratek opis dela Komisij za znižanje umrljivosti dojenčkov.

Title:Health care of women and newborn infants
Abstract:Mortality of infants during the first year of life is one of the important indicators of health care system. This review article is dealing with health care of women and newborn infants. It differentiates between health care before pregnancy and before birth and on dilemas of health care of women. In conclusion, the article review reasons for specific mortality of infants in Slovenia in comparison with other European countries and contains a short description work of The Committe for Mortality Decreasing.
