Opisana je okvara hrbtnega mozga ter glavni vzroki za te okvare. Prikazana je glavna starostna skupina poškodovancev, omenjene so glavne posledice, ki jih pusti poškodba hrbtenice. predstavljena je tudi Zveza paraplgegikov Slovenije. Prikaz je model zdravstvene nege Caliste Roy in uporabljen na primeru. Podan je zdravstveno vzgojni vidik s problemskim pristopom ter dejstva in vzroki paraplegije, prav tako so s promocijo zdravja nakazane možne rešitve tega problema. Title:	Nursing care and health education of paraplegic patient
Abstract:	The article gives basic information about paraplegia and tetraplegia. It describes injuries of spine marrow and gives main resasons for such injuries. main groups of patients with damaged spine are presented, as well as basic consequences of spine injuries. The importance of the integration of the handicapped into society is stressed and Slovene Association of Paraplegics ispresented. The model of Caliste Roy is presented and used as an example. Health and educational view with problem approach, as well as facts and causesof paraplegia are shown. health promotion indicates possible solutions of the problem.
