Title:	World health day and Slovenia
Abstract:	The article is the summary of the diploma work at the School of Nursing at Ljubljana University. World Health Organization is presented, as well as the idea of the World Health Day which is celebrated each year on April 7 and dedicated to a specific urgent problem in the area of health respectively diseases. The second part of the article deals with the themes of the World Health Day in a ten years period from 1987 do 1996, and describes what was going on in Slovenia on these occasions.
