Title:Data collection survey on forest conservation in Mahavir Swami Wildlife Sanctuary for addressing climate change

Abstract:Tropical forest serves as an important pivotal role in terrestrial biological diversity. The Data Collection Survey on Forest Conservation aims to provide a comprehensive analysis of the current state of forests and evaluate the effectiveness of conservation efforts. This survey integrates advanced data collection methods, including remote sensing and Geographic Information Systems (GIS), to monitor forest health, biodiversity, and threats. This study makes an attempt to data collection surveying methods to assess forest management in Mahavir Swami Wildlife Sanctuary (MSWS), Lalitpur, UP, India, using Sentinel-2A sensor data. We selected tree samples from thirty transects in MSWS through random sampling. A method of collecting tree measurement factors based on height and DBH with a variety of high-precision methods is proposed. The data collection survey used in this study can help forest managers, environmentalist, and conservationist for formulating policies for management of forest ecosystem at various scales.

Abstract:Tropski gozd ima na kopnem pomembno vlogo v biotski pestrosti. Namen zbiranja podatkov ohranjenosti gozdov je zagotoviti celovito analizo trenutnega stanja gozdov in oceniti učinkovitost prizadevanj za njihovo ohranjanje. V raziskavi smo za spremljanje zdravja gozdov, biotske raznovrstnosti in njihove ogroženosti združili napredne metode zbiranja podatkov, vključno z daljinskim zaznavanjem in geo-grafskimi informacijskimi sistemi (GIS). V raziskavi smo poskušali zbrati podatke geodetskih metod z uporabo podatkov senzorja Sentinel-2A in oceniti gospodar-jenje z gozdovi v rezervatu za divje živali Mahavir Swami (MSWS), Lalitpur, UP, Indija. Z naključnim vzorčenjem smo izbrali vzorce dreves iz tridesetih transektov v MSWS. Predlagamo metodo zbiranja meritev drevesnih lastnosti na podlagi višine in DBH z različnimi, visoko natančnimi metodami. Analiza o zbiranju podatkov, uporabljena v tej študiji, lahko pomaga vsem, ki gospodarijo z gozdovi in okoljevarstvenikom ter naravovarstvenikom pri oblikovanju politik za upravljanje gozdnih ekosistemov na različnih ravneh.
