Title:Centralna komisija in dokumentiranje srednjeveških gradov na območju Slovenije

Abstract:V prispevku je analizirano arhivsko gradivo Cesarsko-kraljeve centralne komisije za preučevanje in ohranjanje stavbnih spomenikov, v katerem so obravnavani izbrani gradovi srednjeveškega izvora z območja nekdanje Kranjske ter slovenskega dela Štajerske in Koroške. To gradivo je omogočilo nova spoznanja o zavzemanju za ohranitev gradov, o zavarovalnih delih na njih ter o posameznih slikarskih elementih in arhitekturni plastiki gradov, ki so predstavljeni v osrednjem delu prispevka. V obliki študije primera je predstavljen do sedaj edini znani opis še nedokumentiranih poslikav gradu Kolovrat.

Title:The Central Commission and the documentation of medieval castles in the area of Slovenia
Abstract:The paper analyses the archival material of the Imperial Royal Central Commission for the Investigation and Preservation of Monuments (orig. K. K. Central-Commission zur Erforschung und Erhaltung der Baudenkmale), in which selected castles of medieval origin from the area of the former historical province of Carniola and the Slovenian parts of Styria and Carinthia are discussed. The latter provided new knowledge about the advocacy for their preservation, about the protection measures carried out, as well as about individual painting elements and architectural plastic of the castles, which are presented in the central part of the paper. The only known description of the previously undocumented paintings of Kolovrat Castle is presented in the form of a case study.
