Title:Grobišče na Obrežju: nova odkritja o kulturno-družbenem razvoju v spodnjem Posavju in Hrvaškem Zagorju v bronasti dobi

Abstract:Veliko število grobov, izkopanih in dokumentiranih z modernimi metodami, izsledki interdisciplinarnih analiz ter odkritje pripadajočih naselbinskih ostalin postavljajo prazgodovinsko Obrežje med pomembnejša najdišča bronaste dobe v Sloveniji. 381 grobov s skupno 1087 najdbami je bilo v tej študiji izhodišče za raziskavo razvoja ritualnega prostora. Na grobišču so bile ugotovljene tri prostorsko ločene skupine grobov, pri čemer je tretja skupina verjetno nastala z združitvijo manjših skupin v poznem žarnogrobiščnem obdobju. Spremembe pri pogrebnem ritualu, kulturnih povezavah in družbenih spremenljivkah se kažejo v različnih časovnih stopnjah, med stopnjo Bd C2/D in Ha B2/3 oz. med 14. in 9. st. pr. n. št. Rezultati so bili interpretirani v kontekstu razvoja v bronasti dobi na širšem območju spodnjega Posavja in Hrvaškega Zagorja ter v nadregionalnem kontekstu srednjeevropske kulture žarnih grobišč.

Title:The Obrežje cemetery: new findings on socio-cultural development in Lower Posavje and the Croatian Zagorje during the Bronze Age
Abstract:A large number of graves, excavated and documented using modern methods, along with the results of interdisciplinary analyses and the discovery of associated settlement remains, place prehistoric Obrežje among the most significant Bronze Age sites in Slovenia. This study, based on 381 graves containing a total of 1,087 finds, explores the development of the ritual space. Three spatially distinct burial groups were identified within the cemetery, with the third group likely formed by the merging of smaller clusters during the late Urnfield period. Changes in funerary rituals, cultural connections, and social variables are observed across different chronological phases, from phase BA C2/D to Ha B2/3, spanning the 14th to the 9th century BCE. The results are interpreted within the broader context of the Bronze Age development in the Lower Posavje and Croatian Zagorje regions, as well as in the supra-regional context of the Central European Urnfield culture.
