Title:Prelom s starim in ustvarjanje nove elite

Abstract:Sprememba gospodarskega in političnega sistema med vojno oziroma po njej je največja prelomnica v slovenski novejši zgodovini. Spremenila se je socialna in prebivalstvena struktura. Oblast v državi je prevzel nov revolucionarni sloj. Povsod po Jugoslaviji in tudi v Sloveniji so oblasti organizirale sodne procese. S popolno notranjepolitično zmago partije, z obračunom z meščanskim elementom, družbenimi spremembami je prišlo do zamenjave tudi v tistem delu slovenske oziroma ljubljanske socialne podobe, ki je pripadala najvišjemu sloju - t. i. elite. Meščanstvo in meščanske vrednote so bile nezaželene in postavljene na stranski tir ter sčasoma izničene. Po vojni so mnoge meščane pobili, pozaprli, številni so se izselili, druge so razlastili, nekateri so vstopili v partijo in s tem (nekateri tudi nehote) izdali meščansko tradicijo.

Title:Breaking off the old and creating a new elite
Abstract:The transformation of the economic and political system during or after the war is the biggest milestone in Slovenian contemporary history. The social and demographic structure changed. A new, revolutionary class seized power in the state. Trials were being organised by authorities across Yugoslavia as well as in Slovenia. The absolute victory of the Party in domestic politics, confrontation with the bourgeoisie, and social change brought transformation in the part of the Ljubljana social scheme that belonged to the highest class - the so-called elite. The bourgeoisie and its values were unwanted, set aside, and eventually eliminated. After the war, many members of the bourgeoisie were killed or imprisoned, many emigrated, others were disowned while some joined the Party and thus (sometimes unintentionally) betrayed the bourgeois tradition.
