There are two search modes available: simple and advanced. Simple search can include one or more words from the title, summary, keywords or full text, but does not allow the use of search operators. Advanced search allows to limit the number of search results by entering the search terms of different categories in the search window, as well as the use of Boolean search operators (AND, OR and AND NOT). In search results short formats of records are displayed and some data are displayed as links, which open a detailed description of the material (title link) or perform a new search (author or keyword link).

Sočasna sečnja in helikoptersko spravilo lesa z Ljubljanskega Grajskega griča

V začetku januarja 2025 sta v mestnem jedru Ljubljane potekala sočasna sečnja in helikoptersko spravilo. Pridobljene izkušnje so dragocene za nadaljnji razvoj gozdarskih tehnologij. Analiza prispeva k boljšemu razumevanju dejavnikov, ki vplivajo na učinkovitost in varnost takšnega načina spravila.

Vpliv mesta shranjevanja na lastnosti lesnega oglja in briketov lesnega oglja za žar
Anže Jereb, Domen Frece, Marcel Egartner, Lara Plevnik, Patricija Oražem, Tomaž Rihter, 2025, original scientific article

Abstract: V raziskavi smo proučevali vpliv zračne vlage na kakovost in kurilno vrednost lesnega oglja ter briketov lesnega oglja za žar. Uporabili smo slovensko lesno oglje s kmetije Frece in brikete lesnega oglja znamke Forest Premium.

Abstract: Prispevek predstavlja celovit pregled gozdnih rastiščnih tipov (GRT) Slovenije, ki vključuje njihovo ekološko, vegetacijsko, rastiščno, sestojno in upravljavsko analizo.

Controlled synthesis of nickel phosphides in hollow N, P co-doped carbon : In situ transition to (oxy)hydroxide phases during oxygen evolution reaction
David Rios-Ruiz, Pablo Arevalo-Cid, Jesus Cebollada, Verónica Celorrio, Milan Čeh, Sandra Drev, Maria V. Martinez-Huerta, 2025, original scientific article

Abstract: Developing sustainable and efficient electrocatalysts for the oxygen evolution reaction (OER) is crucial for advancing energy storage technologies. This study explored the dual role of phosphorus as a dopant in carbon matrices and a key component in nickel phosphides (Ni2P and Ni12P5), synthesized using dopamine (PDA) and ammonium phosphate as eco-friendly precursors. The phase formation of nickel phosphides was found to be highly dependent on the P/PDA ratio (0.15, 0.3, 0.6, and 0.9), allowing for the selective synthesis of Ni2P or Ni12P5. Operando Raman spectroscopy revealed that both phases undergo surface transformation into nickel (oxy)hydroxide species under OER conditions, yet Ni2P-based catalysts demonstrated superior activity and long-term stability. This enhancement is attributed to efficient electron transfer at the dynamic Ni2P/NiOOH interface. Additionally, hollow nanostructures formed at intermediate P/PDA ratios (≤0.3) via the Kirkendall effect and Ostwald ripening contributed to an increased specific surface area and micropore volume, further improving the catalytic performance. Electrochemical impedance spectroscopy confirmed reduced interfacial resistance and enhanced charge transport. These findings offer new insights into the rational design of high-performance electrocatalysts and propose a green, tunable synthesis approach for advanced energy conversion applications.

Abstract: Background Postoperative pneumonia (POP) remains a leading cause of mortality following lung surgery. Recent studies have confirmed that the respiratory tract below the vocal cords is not sterile and often harbours potentially pathogenic microorganisms (PPMs), putting patients with lung malignancies at an increased risk for pulmonary infections. Patients and methods The study analysed 149 patients who underwent bronchoscopy for lung lesions suspected to be lung cancer. Protected specimen brush (PSB) samples were obtained during bronchoscopy prior to any specific treatment. Bacterial identification and antimicrobial susceptibility testing were conducted on the isolated strains. Results Bacterial colonization was detected in 88.6% of patients, with 21.5% carrying PPMs. Notably, patients with type 2 diabetes exhibited a higher rate of PPM colonization compared to others. Antibiotic susceptibility testing showed no significant differences in efficacy between amoxicillin with clavulanic acid and first-generation cephalosporin in both colonized patients and those with PPMs. Importantly, no multidrug-resistant bacteria were identified. Conclusions Our findings indicate a slightly lower PPM colonization rate compared to previous studies, possibly due to the unique geographic characteristics of the study population. The absence of significant differences in bacterial susceptibility between the two tested antibiotics highlights the need for further research to refine perioperative infection management strategies.

Sven Bacher, Ellen Ryan-Colton, Mario Coiro, Phillip Cassey, Bella S. Galil, Martin A. Nuñez, Michael Ansong, Katharina Dehnen-Schmutz, Georgi Fayvush, Romina D. Fernandez, Maarten De Groot, 2025, original scientific article

Abstract: Invasive alien species are a major driver of global change, impacting biodiversity, ecosystem services, and human livelihoods. To document these impacts, we present the Global Impacts Dataset of Invasive Alien Species (GIDIAS), a dataset on the positive, negative and neutral impacts of invasive alien species on nature, nature’s contributions to people, and good quality of life. This dataset arises from the Intergovernmental Science-Policy Platform on Biodiversity and Ecosystem Services’ (IPBES) thematic assessment report of this topic. Data were compiled from published sources, including grey literature, reporting a direct observation of an invasive alien species’ impact. All impact records contain up to 52 fields of contextual information and attempt to link impacts to the global standard “environmental impact classification for alien taxa” (EICAT) and “socio-economic impact classification for alien taxa” (SEICAT). GIDIAS includes more than 22000 records of impacts caused by 3353 invasive alien species (plants, vertebrates, invertebrates, microorganisms) from all continents and realms (terrestrial, freshwater, marine), extracted from over 6700 sources. We intend GIDIAS to be a global resource for investigating and managing the variety of impacts of invasive alien species across taxa and regions.
