There are two search modes available: simple and advanced. Simple search can include one or more words from the title, summary, keywords or full text, but does not allow the use of search operators. Advanced search allows to limit the number of search results by entering the search terms of different categories in the search window, as well as the use of Boolean search operators (AND, OR and AND NOT). In search results short formats of records are displayed and some data are displayed as links, which open a detailed description of the material (title link) or perform a new search (author or keyword link).

Humanistic Buddhism in Thailand : practices, local patronage and challenges
Yue Bai, Yaoping Liu, 2025, original scientific article

Abstract: Humanistic Buddhism usually implements Buddhist ideas every day to ad-vance social harmony and personal satisfaction. With an emphasis on three main aspects—individual, universal, and transcendental—and six of its features, this paper investigates the beliefs and practices, local support, and obstacles that Hu-manistic Buddhism in Thailand encounters. Using a mixed-method approach, this study gathers quantitative data using questionnaires distributed to 400 re-spondents at two sites in Thailand: the Tzu Chi foundation in Bangkok and fo Guang Shan. in-depth interviews also involved thirty respondents—religious lead-ers, community members, Buddhist scholars engaged in Humanistic Buddhism, and so forth. The results revealed that the beliefs and practices of Humanistic Buddhism were consistent with the three dimensions of the tradition. Three pri-mary challenges in the practice of Humanistic Buddhism in Thailand involved: (1) the resolution of internal conflicts, (2) the promotion of compassion in social relations, and (3) the management of existential issues. This study recommends a multifaceted approach to policy development that promotes the sustainability of humanistic Buddhist practices in Thailand to amplify the roles of Buddhist or-ganizations in community welfare and promote collaboration among Buddhist, governmental, and civil society institutions.

Emotional cyborgs in a hyperconnected world : AI, embodiment, and ecofeminist, theological reflections on humanity and the divine
Nadja Furlan-Štante, 2025, original scientific article

Abstract: Through the critical lens of theological ecofeminism, this article offers a nu-anced analysis of the concept of the (emotional) cyborg, interrogating how the integration of technology into human (emotional) life reshapes individual iden-tity, affective experience, and social relationality. Central to this inquiry are the dynamics of human interaction with affective computing and artificial emotional intelligence, broadly defined as technological systems capable of mimicking, in-terpreting, simulating, and responding to human emotions. as developments in artificial intelligence and biotechnology continue to ad-vance, the boundary between human and machine becomes increasingly porous. Within this context, the figure of the emotional cyborg emerges as a compelling framework for examining the transformation of human emotion and connection in technologically mediated environments. This investigation is situated within broader socio-cultural concerns, particu-larly the contemporary quest for authenticity in a hyperconnected world, where digital interactions frequently eclipse embodied, face-to-face communication. Drawing on posthumanist and critical ecofeminist theory, this article explores the implications of the entanglement between human and artificial emotional intelli-gence. among the key concerns are the potential for emotional alienation, the ero-sion of empathy and emotional literacy, and the commodification of affective life.in addition, the analysis engages with the implications of these shifts for press-ing contemporary issues, including mental health, social isolation, and the recon-figuration of community and belonging. at its core, the presentation interrogates how emotional cyborgs intersect with gendered experiences within technologically saturated realities, and challenges and reimagines traditional theological concep-tions of embodiment and relationality. The emotional cyborg, conceived as the hybridization of human emotional capacities with artificial intelligence, functions simultaneously as a reflection of and intervention in prevailing social constructions of gender, affectivity, and in-tersubjective connection.

The implementation of a robotic surgical plat-form for the treatment of patients with malig-nant or pre-malignant pancreatic tumors at the University Medical Center Ljubljana
Miha Petrič, Patricio Marcelo Polanco, Jan Grosek, Aleš Tomažič, Blaž Trotovšek, Boštjan Plešnik, 2025, original scientific article

Abstract: Background: Robotic platforms are increasingly employed in the field of minimally invasive pancreatic surgery. It is essential to develop an innovative method that ensures both safety and efficacy, producing outcomes comparable to those of established treatment modalities. Implementation process should incorporate surgical science, education, local implementation, and non-technical skills. In our study, we describe the safe implementation of a robotic platform in pancreatic surgery within our medical institution. Patients and methods: We analysed prospectively collected data from the first ten consecutive robotic-assisted distal pancreatectomies (RDP) and pancreatoduodenectomies (RPD). Due to nature of the study no statistical analysis were performed. Results: The mean operating time was 211minutes (±49.4) for RDP and 365 minutes (±69.6) for RPD, with blood loss 330 mL for RDP and 195 mL for RPD. Hospital stay was 8.7 days (±3.9) in RDP and 7.9 days (±3.9) in RPD. One patient (10%) in the RDP group developed CR-POPF and DGE. The mean tumour size was 31 mm (±9.8) in the RDP and 27 mm (±7.5) in the RPD. The mean number of lymph nodes harvested was 6 (0–24) in the RDP and 15 (6–22) in the RPD. The R0 resection rate was 60% in the RDP and 70% in the RPD. Conclusions: Robotic surgical technology can be safely and effectively integrated into a clinical setting. This integration should be facilitated through a well-established training program and curriculum. Nonetheless, patient selection is important, especially in the early phases of robotic program development.

ESR essentials: juvenile idiopathic arthritis : what every radiologist needs to know: practice recommendations by the European Society of Paediatric Radiology
Sílvia Costa Dias, Celine Habre, Pier Luigi Di Paolo, Paola d’Angelo, Thomas A. Augdal, Oskar W. Angenete, Damjana Ključevšek, 2025, review article

Abstract: Juvenile Idiopathic Arthritis (JIA) is a major contributor to chronic diseases, affecting around 1–2 in 1000 children under the age of 16. With modern treatments, the morbidity has been reduced; however, there is increasing evidence that many, if not most, children with JIA will have a chronic disease with ongoing activity into adulthood. Many studies discuss the possibility of an early window of opportunity in which patients have the best chance of responding to therapy, thereby underscoring the importance of timely and appropriate imaging. Children typically present at 4–5 years of age with one or more stiff and painful joints. If JIA is suspected, the child should undergo an ultrasound of the involved joint(s), performed by a radiologist with experience in paediatric imaging. If this is normal, with no abnormal laboratory tests and low clinical suspicion of JIA, no further imaging is required. If there is inconsistency between ultrasound and clinical findings, then they should proceed to MRI, including intravenous contrast, of the involved joint. Additional radiographs, or low-dose CT for the axial joints to examine for potential destructive change, deformation, or growth abnormalities, should be considered. In children presenting with monoarthritis, bacterial infection must be ruled out.

Duhovna oskrba v vojski v času pospešene digitalizacije, tehnološkega napredka in družbenih prelomov
Gašper Pirc, 2025, original scientific article

Abstract: V pričujočem prispevku raziskujem koncept duhovne oskrbe v sodobni druž-bi.
