Abstract:Z javnomnenjsko poizvedbo na nacionalni ravni smo zbrali podatke o rekreacijskih navadah Slovencev, njihovi zaznavi pomembnosti izbranih dobrin in storitev gozda ter podpori prostemu vstopu v gozdove. S pomočjo preproste frekvenčne analize smo določili najbolj (sprehod in pohod) in najmanj (lov) pogoste aktivnosti v gozdu.

Title:Slovenes' recreational habits, their preferences towards forest goods and services and support for free access to forest lands : nation-wide public survey
Abstract:With public enquiry on the national level, we acquired the data on recreational habits of Slovenians, their perception of the selected forest goods and services importance, and support to the free access to forests. With internet survey we gathered the answers of 801 individuals, a sample that is, according to the age and gender structure of the adult Slovenian population, representative for the whole population. Using simple frequency analysis, we determined the most common (walking and hiking) and the least common (hunting) activities in the forest. Regarding the importance of forest goods and services, we revealed a considerable heterogeneity of preferences and, in the case of regulating, provision, and habitat ones, determined the existence of two groups of respondents; they ascribe them the importance in different ways. In the case of cultural services, there are four groups. These were additionally profiled by the socio-demographic characteristics. We also found there is a majority support for free access to forests, but it decreases with those who live in smaller settlements and those who own larger forests.
