Zato smo validirali nov bojnokondicijski test (BKT) telesne in bojne pripravljenosti pripadnikov in pripadnic SV različne starosti. Predlagali smo interpretacijo doseženega rezultata v eno izmed kategorij: zelo slabo, slabo, povprečno, dobro in odlično. BKT je preprost in veljaven test telesne in bojne pripravljenosti za oba spola ter vse starostne skupine pripadnikov in pripadnic SV.

Abstract:Soldiers face a variety of tasks in their work, including challenging and complex ones that inherently pose risks to their health and increase the likelihood of injuries. It is therefore crucial that they have optimized internal risk factors, such as physical fitness, particularly specific fitness tailored to the execution of fundamental tasks, including combat-related activities. For this reason, we validated a new Combat Fitness Test (BKT) to assess the physical and combat readiness of male and female members of the Slovenian Armed Forces (SV) across different age groups. We designed the BKT to evaluate the physical abilities and combat effectiveness of SV members, primarily providing logistical support to combat units. A total of 752 male and 100 female SV members completed the BKT in August/September 2022, with no recorded injuries. We measured the completion time of the BKT and analyzed average values, as well as the 5th, 10th, 20th, 30th, 40th, 60th, 70th, 80th, 90th, and 95th percentiles, separately by gender and age groups: 20-30 years, 30-40 years, 40-50 years, and over 50 years. We found that for men, the BKT completion time increases with age, as well as its variability. Women achieve age-independent results, and the variability of results decreases with age. We proposed interpreting the achieved results into one of the categories: very poor, poor, average, good, and excellent. The BKT is a simple and valid test of physical and combat readiness for both genders and all age groups of SV members
