Namen tega zdravljenja je radikalna odstranitev tumorja z žilnim pecljem po principu kompletne mezokolične ekscizije. Pri desni hemikolektomiji, ki je standardna operacija pri raku slepiča, cekuma in ascendentnega kolona se zadnje desetletje izpostavlja D3 limfadenektomija. Nekatere raziskave so pokazale, da D3 v primerjavi z D2 limfadenektomijo omogočala daljše preživetje brez bolezni. D3 limfadenektomijo so nekatere azijske države že uvedle med priporočila za kirurško zdravljenje raka kolona. Kljub temu ni dovolj trdnih dokazov, da bi podobne smernice sprejeli tudi drugod po svetu. Title:	D3 lymphadenectomy in right hemicolectomy
Abstract:	Surgical treatment is indicated for resectable colon cancer. The aim of this treatment is the radical removal of the tumor with a vascular stalk according to the principle of complete mesocolic excision. For right hemicolectomy, which is a standard operation for cancer of the appendix, cecum and ascending colon, D3 lymphadenectomy has been performed in the last decade. Some studies have shown that D3 compared to D2 lymphadenectomy allowed longer disease-free survival. Some Asian countries have already introduced D3 lymphadenectomy among the recommendations for the surgical treatment of colon cancer. Nevertheless, there is not enough solid evidence to adopt similar guidelines elsewhere in the world.
