Abstract:V razpravi predstavljamo nov predlog ocene pestrostne funkcije gozdnih zaplat v kmetijski krajini.

Title:The dead biomass and landscape connectivity as a support for determining diversity function of the forest in the suburban agricultural landscape
Abstract:In our article, we present a new proposition of the diversity function of forest patches in the agricultural landscape. In the research, we assessed in detail the presence of the dead wood biomass in the forest patch near Nadgorica. The mean value of the dead biomass calculated on 57 sampling plots amounted to 11,83 m3 /ha. 6 of these plots (around 10 % of all plots) present stock of the dead wood biomass above 25 m3 /ha, which is the amount considered an example of highlighted diversity function in the literature. We also linked the findings of our research with the findings of our previous studies and literature. On this basis, we formed the proposition that patches with a large enough amount of the dead wood biomass (≥ 20 m3 /ha), with an inner environment core areas of at least 200 ha, and spatial distribution maintaining less than 2 km of distance between forest patches, or the surrounding forest base should have a highlighted diversity function in an agricultural landscape.
Keywords:monitoring, dead biomass, diversity function of forest, linkage of forest patches, inner environment core areas, Nadgorica
