Babu, Sumit Biswas, Shaikh Saad, 2026, original scientific article Abstract: We propose a quark-lepton symmetric Pati-Salam (PS) model based on the gauge group SU(2)L × SU(2)R × SU(4)C with an E6-inspired particle spectrum which naturally accommodates a multi-TeV leptoquark gauge boson . A softly broken Z2 symmetry plays a crucial role in realizing this scenario, under which the Standard Model (SM) fermions are even, while new vector-like fermions present in the model are odd. A notable feature of this model is that the PS gauge boson Xμ itself is Z2-odd, causing it to couple exclusively between SM fermions and the vector-like fermions, except in the right-handed down-quark sector, where mixing is induced by the soft breaking of Z2. This structure leads to helicity suppression of tree-level meson decays mediated by Xμ, with Z2-unsuppressed contributions arising only via one-loop diagrams. We show that Xμ can be as light as 1.1 TeV while being compatible with all flavor-violating constraints. However, mass relations among the gauge bosons push the Xμ mass limit up to 4.3 TeV from the stringent LHC bounds on the Z′ mass. This comparatively low PS-breaking scale opens up promising collider opportunities for probing the leptoquark gauge boson, as well as the distinctive signature of vector-like down-type quarks carrying an unusual baryon number of 2/3. The model can be further tested via lepton flavor-violating processes induced by the leptoquark gauge boson, such as μ → eγ, μ → eee, and μ-e conversion in nuclei. Neutrino masses arise in the model through dimension-seven operators at tree-level, as well as from dimension-five operators via one-loop diagrams.

2. A new perspective on the CMSSMStefan Antusch, Shaikh Saad, Vasja Susič, 2026, original scientific article Abstract: What does third family (t-b-τ) Yukawa unification, a typical prediction from embedding the Standard Model (SM) fermions in 16-plets of a grand unifying SO(10) gauge symmetry, imply for the scale of the supersymmetric (SUSY) partners? Which neutralino dark matter candidate can be realized, and how large is the dark matter relic density? In this work, we address these questions in a simplified SUSY-breaking framework: the Constrained Minimal Supersymmetric Standard Model (CMSSM). To this end, we recast the parameter space of the CMSSM in a way that for all parameter points the SM-like Higgs mass is correctly reproduced. Considering fixed tanβ and sgn(µ), for every point in the (x := M1/2 m0 ,y := A0 m0 ) parameter plane ranges for all observables are predicted. This provides a new perspective on where in parameter space different types of dark matter (DM) are realized, and which value of the SUSY scale is required in order to explain the observed mass of the SM-like Higgs boson. In our analysis we consider and compare two strategies: grid scans over the (x, y) and (x,y,tanβ) parameter regions (with iterative RG evolution), as well as MCMC sampling. We find both techniques yield similar results. For t-b-τ unification within 5% or 10%, we find µ < 0, the SUSY spectrum showing a characteristic pattern, and the SUSY scale around O(10)TeV. The extra MSSM Higgses are the lowest lying new states at ∼ 2÷3TeV (with discovery potential at the HL-LHC), the O(10)TeV stops and gluino are in reach of a possible FCC-hh, while bino DM has a mass above 2.5TeV, is overabundant, and effectively unobservable in planned direct and indirect detection experiments. The DM relic density requires a dilution factor of 10 < D < 1000, implying non-standard cosmology that could leave its imprints in the stochastic gravitational wave background.

Blaustein’s Phenomenological Psychology : Between Husserl and StumpfFilip Borek, 2025, original scientific article Abstract: The article explores the idea of psychology and phenomenology in Blaustein’s writings as well as its relation to two conceptions of phenomenology: Husserl’s and Stumpf ’s, respectively. The article is divided into five sections. In section 1, a historical background of the reception of Husserl’s and Stumpf ’s ideas in Blaustein is discussed. Section 2 concerns the conception of phenomenology in Husserl and in Stumpf regarding its subject matter. Section 3 discusses the ambivalent status of phenomenology in Blaustein’s theoretical project. Section 4 confronts Blaustein’s understanding of phenomenology with that of Husserl and of Stumpf. Section 5 summarizes the discussion of the similarities and differences between Blaustein, on the one hand, and Husserl and Stumpf, on the other hand. I argue that with regard to the question of the subject matter of phenomenology, Blaustein is closer to Husserl’s phenomenology rather than Stumpf ’s.

Qualitative analysis of factors associated with the experience of contraception in rural settingŠpela Črnigoj, Mirko Prosen, 2016, original scientific article Abstract: Introduction: The phenomenon of contraception, its prevalence and its implication for women's emancipation is influenced by a number of social factors, including the environment. The purpose of this study was to examine the phenomenon of contraception through the eyes, knowledge, experience and perception of women living in rural areas. Methods: The phenomenological approach was used within the framework of qualitative methodology. The purposive sample included eight women aged 20 to 50 years, living in the rural areas of western Slovenia. The research was conducted in April and May 2015. The data obtained through semi-structured interviews were analysed using the method of phenomenological text analysis. Results: The analysis yielded four thematic groups which conceptualize the studied phenomenon: (1) the factors affecting the choice and use of a contraceptive method and its acceptance, (2) the importance of contraception for women, (3) the education and acquisition of adequate contraceptive knowledge, (4) the women's social status. Discussion and conclusion: Results of the research indicate that contraception is an important dimension of women's quality of life and their social status. The acceptance of contraception and the selection of a contraceptive method are influenced by a number of social factors and guided by various support systems. The knowledge of these factors enables nurses to systematically plan and deliver health education. Further research of the phenomenon could be conducted also among urban female population.

Intentionality and the Perceptual World : Husserl, Schapp, and Blaustein on the Content of SensationsDaniele Nuccilli, 2025, review article Abstract: In the article, I investigate the role of sensation in the manifestation of the world in perceptual experience, as conceptualized through three distinct phenomenological approaches: those of Edmund Husserl, Wilhelm Schapp, and Leopold Blaustein. I begin by examining Husserl’s Göttingen lectures, reconstructing his account of the intentional structuring of the perceptual world, with particular emphasis on the immanent dimension that shapes the interpretation of sensory content. I then turn to Schapp’s theory of presentation-qua-Darstellung, highlighting his original claim that sensations themselves directly present objects to consciousness, fusing the properties of things with their appearance without requiring the interpretative intervention of an intentional act. Finally, I consider Blaustein’s position, which maintains the centrality of intentionality, but situates sensations outside of the intentional act, functioning as mediators, through which the external world is apprehended and interpreted.

7. Between Critique and Affirmation : Blaustein’s Functional Metaphysics of CultureWojciech Starzyński, 2025, original scientific article Abstract: The article reconsiders Leopold Blaustein’s philosophy by focusing on his critical stance toward metaphysics. While Witold Płotka interprets Blaustein as a philosopher of metaphysical neutrality, I argue that Blaustein should rather be seen as a critic of metaphysical idealism who nonetheless develops a minimal and functional form of metaphysical reflection. This reflection is grounded not in ontological assumptions, but in the implicit meaningfulness of anthropological experience. The article examines four domains—intentionality, humanistic psychology, aesthetics, and education—and includes a final boundary-case analysis of religious spirituality, in order to clarify the scope and limits of Blaustein’s functional metaphysics. Drawing on his critique of Ingarden and his own educational writings, I argue that Blaustein’s philosophy ultimately points toward a non-speculative, yet normatively rich conception of culture and value. His project, although critical of traditional metaphysics, remains open to a constructive transformation of metaphysical thinking rooted in human experience and practical reason.

Phenomenology from the Standpoint of the Lvov-Warsaw SchoolAleksandra Gomułczak, 2025, original scientific article Abstract: The aim of the paper is to examine the views on phenomenology developed by representatives of the Lvov–Warsaw School (henceforth: LWS). The paper shows that, firstly, there is a significant genetic connection between the LWS and Husserl’s phenomenological movement. Secondly, members of the LWS have developed a coherent understanding of phenomenology, which they regard as an autonomous philosophical science of essence. They particularly appreciate the fact that phenomenologists are committed to making clear distinctions. However, they are skeptical about the reliability of Wesensschau, as it is based on immediate insight rather than deduction or induction. Furthermore, they consider the works of phenomenologists to be obscure. Thirdly, their criticism of phenomenology is similar, though less radical, to that offered by analytic philosophers, such as Moritz Schlick, Gilbert Ryle, and Rudolf Carnap.

Did I Just See Romeo Commit Suicide? : Meinong and Blaustein on TheaterHicham Jakha, 2025, original scientific article Abstract: I analyze the aesthetic experience of theatergoers in light of Meinong’s “assumptions” and Blaustein’s “imaginative presentations,” taking Brentano’s “universality thesis” as the background of my analyses. I argue that “presentations” and “judgments” go hand in hand, as far as theater experience is concerned. To put forth my main argument, I follow a two-fold line of reasoning: phenomenological and ontological. On the phenomenological level, Blaustein’s imaginative presentations, I argue, are self-sufficient. Nonetheless, on the ontological level, the theater’s represented objects emerge as having a two-sided structure that undermines the phenomenological simplicity of presentations. By characterizing represented objects’ ontology in this manner, I admit Meinong’s assumptions as a fourth class of mental phenomena, and, beyond the frameworks of both Meinong and Blaustein, incorporate judgments into the aesthetic experience of theater.
