In this paper we will first provide a short description of the formation and constitution of the Communist Party of Croatia, and will then describe the collections of the organizations mentioned in the Međimurje and Koprivnička Podrava regions.

3. The role of archives and archival sources in history teaching in Croatia, exemplified by the teaching of contemporary Croatian historyJulija Barunčić Pletikosić, Željka Križe, 2024, pregledni znanstveni članek Povzetek: Focusing on Croatia's primary and grammar school curricula and the content of history textbooks about contemporary Croatian history, this paper examines the integration of archival sources into history education, as well as the role of archives as heritage institutions in history teaching. The use of historical sources, one of the six main technical concepts in the teaching of history, is prescribed according to the curriculum for History for Primary Schools and Grammar Schools in the Republic of Croatia. Historical sources are analyzed both quantitatively and qualitatively, including visual and written sources. Primary or archival historical sources are singled out and described.

4. Geodynamic evolution of the Northernmost Dinarides revealed by the petrogenesis of Mid-Triassic calc-alkaline volcanic rocksDamir Slovenec, Duje Kukoč, Duje Smirčić, Branimir Šegvić, Matija Vukovski, Mirko Belak, Tea Kolar-Jurkovšek, Tonći Grgasović, Špela Goričan, Marija Horvat, 2026, izvirni znanstveni članek Povzetek: This paper presents mineralogical, petrological, geochemical, and Sr–Nd isotopic data on volcanic rocks from the Northwestern Croatian Triassic Rift Basin, which is a locally aborted back-arc rift system of the Paleotethys. The dataset also includes their isotopic ages, along with the biostratigraphic ages of all interbedded sedimentary rocks. These volcano-sedimentary successions represent the northernmost parts of the Dinarides. The obtained 40Ar/39Ar isotopic age (243±1.8 Ma) indicates the Late Anisian age of the basaltic eruption and is somewhat consistent with the obtained Early Ladinian biostratigraphic ages of the interbedded sedimentary rocks. The initial εNd varies between −0.08 to +1.90, while the initial 87Sr/86Sr varies in a wide range from 0.704765 to 0.709248. The investigated Late Anisian to Early Ladinian calc-alkaline/shoshonitic basaltic lavas were formed through: (i) low-degree partial melting (5–14 %) of a shallow (spinel stability facies; max. depth ~33 km) magma source region in the subcontinental lithospheric mantle and (ii) fractional crystallisation in a partially open magmatic system. The magma generation also involved: (i) melts from the subducted slab, which is likely linked to the ancient, subducted oceanic crust of the Paleotethys, (ii) less abundant, previously subducted continental crustal material – sediments recycled in the mantle wedge, and (iii) a negligible contribution from depleted or an ocean-island, basalt-like mantle. These conditions suggest that the magma formed through a complex process during magma ascent through tectonically weakened crustal zones. Although the intense effusive volcanic activity during the Middle Triassic in the Northwestern Croatian Triassic Rift Basin lasted for a relatively short period (~3–4 Myr; Bithynian–Fassanian), its geodynamic evolution was complex and can be attributed to: (i) the subduction of the Paleotethyan lithosphere associated with an ensialic volcanic arc developed in an active continental margin setting, and (ii) the processes of continental rifting along the mid-Triassic margins of the Adria Plate, i.e., Greater Adria. These processes represent the beginning of rifting, which affected a greater area on the Balkan Peninsula as well.

5. Relationship between Religious Socialization in Childhood and Actual Religiosity in Student Age : The Case of Croatian Students from the University of RijekaŽeljko Boneta, 2022, izvirni znanstveni članek Povzetek: After the collapse of socialism, Croatia experienced a religious revival and became one of the most religious ex-socialist countries. Religion and religiosity went from a privately tolerated but socially undesirable fact to becoming part of social normalcy, and formal religious socialization became a dominant pattern of raising children. The paper analyzes the relationship between religious socialization in childhood and actual religiosity in student age based on an online survey conducted in 2021 on a sample of students at the University of Rijeka (N=624). The results reveal a departure from the experience of primary socialization, which is dominantly manifested as secularization.

6. Roditeljski habitus i motivi odabira vrtića talijanske nacionalne manjine u HrvatskojEliana Čavrak Tomac, Željko Boneta, 2022, izvirni znanstveni članek Povzetek: By applying the method of qualitative analysis of life history, on a sample of fifteen parents, we wanted to investigate the extent to which the choice of kindergarten in Italian is influenced by language ideology, family language practices and strategies related to parental habitus. Interviews reveal the existence of three models of family language practice: in the first model, the Croatian language predominates because the parents do not speak Italian, the second, which is also dominated by the Croatian language, but with occasional activities in Italian, and the third, in which each parent addresses the child in his hereditary language.

7. Threat perception and social distance towards foreign workers in Croatia : a 2019–2024 shift in the attitudes of law studentsMargareta Gregurović, Marko Mrakovčić, Marko Miočić , 2026, izvirni znanstveni članek Povzetek: Recent migration trends in Croatia feature positive net migration alongside a deepening negative perception of foreigners. This paper aims to examine law students’ attitudes towards foreign workers over a five-year period, their key determinants, and their associations with social distance towards foreign workers. Survey conducted in 2019 on the attitudes of students at four law faculties in Croatia towards different categories of migrants was repeated in 2024. The results indicate a stronger perception of foreign workers in Croatia as a cultural and symbolic threat than as a real economic threat; however, at the latent level, these attitudes are combined into a single integrated economic–cultural dimension. These attitudes were confirmed as the strongest predictors of social distance towards foreign workers, which also increased significantly during the analysed period – from average acceptance of foreign workers as next- -door neighbours in 2019 to average acceptance as workplace colleagues workplace in 2024. Regression analysis also confirmed a significant effect of political attitudes on social distance.

8. From the Habsburg to the Karađorđević Dynasty : The Position of Croatian and Slovenian Nobility in the Yugoslav StateIskra Iveljić, Miha Preinfalk, 2022, izvirni znanstveni članek Povzetek: The article compares the position of nobility in Slovenia, Croatia and Slavonia before and after the Great War. The focus is on the transition to the Yugoslav state. The new regime treated the nobility as adversaries in political, social and national respect; noble titles were abolished and landed estates diminished by the land reform. Even though it cherished personal and family ties, the aforementioned nobility did not organise itself in associations, like their counterparts in Austria.

9. Additional Record of Pterois miles (Scorpaenidae) in Croatian Waters (Eastern Adriatic Sea)Jakov Dulčić, Robert Grgičević, Branko Dragičević, 2024, izvirni znanstveni članek Povzetek: One specimen of Pterois miles was caught by a spearfisherman on 15 August 2023, at a depth of 17–18 m, near Račišće (Island of Korčula, southern Adriatic). This is the first record for this species based on a caught and deposited specimen, and the second documented occurrence for Croatian waters. It confirms the hypothesis that the species is capable of reaching and expanding in the Adriatic Sea.

10. Cultural Diplomacy as a Tool in Post-Conflict Reconciliation? : The “Pika-Točka-Tačka” Project (2011–2014) and the Tendencies in Republic of Serbia’s post-2000s Cultural Exchange With CroatiaIvana Vesić, 2024, izvirni znanstveni članek Povzetek: In this paper I will focus on Serbian international cultural policy in relation to Croatia in the first two decades of the 21st century. Aside from giving insight into general circumstances regarding the Serbian cultural sphere after October 2000, I will discuss how tense relations between Serbian and Croatian political elites during the previous decades discouraged more extensive state-supported cultural exchange, and negatively affected the results of such initiatives. Special attention will be given to the project of joint concert seasons of the most prestigious philharmonic orchestras from Serbia, Croatia, and Slovenia titled “Pika-Točka-Tačka” (2011–2014) and its various cultural-diplomatic contributions.
