2. When Peace is not Enough. Marco Michiel and the Council of Ten in Early Sixteenth-Century Venice : Shifting Judicial Paradigms and Noble ViolenceAndrew Vidali, 2023, izvirni znanstveni članek Povzetek: The homicide of Vincenzo Molin by Marco Michiel in early 1518 fits into the framework of feuds and enmities between Venetian noble families that broke out in the first half of the sixteenth century. But these events overlapped with greater political and judicial changes, which involved the Council of Ten taking action against elite violence with unprecedented intensity. The result of this intersection is an episode with various outstanding features, in particular, the early questioning of the juridical-cultural relevance of peace-making as essential to ensure the end of judicial exile.

3. Of War and Peace : Socialist Yugoslavia, the Non-Aligned Movement and the Resolution of ConflictsPaul Stubbs, 2025, izvirni znanstveni članek Povzetek: This article, based on archival sources and secondary literature, explores the role of socialist Yugoslavia in the context of its leadership of the Non-Aligned Movement (NAM) and its contributions to peace and conflict resolution at diverse scales. It explores this, primarily, in relation to the Cold War, as well as NAM’s response to major geopolitical conflicts, notably the Vietnam War and the Soviet invasion of Afghanistan. The dynamics
of Yugoslav and NAM support for decolonial liberation struggles, as a form of support for “just wars”, is also discussed. The significance of NAM’s role in advocating “general
and complete disarmament” and the important role that Yugoslavia played in the Helsinki process in the mid- to late-1970s, seeking security and co-operation in Europe, are also addressed. The argument is that, whilst socialist Yugoslavia no longer exists, and NAM is not the force it once was; the principles of NAM remain as relevant as ever.

4. Christian-Muslim women in religious peacebuilding, breaking cycles of violenceNadja Furlan-Štante, 2020, izvirni znanstveni članek Povzetek: In a broader context, the main focus of this paper is the question of wom-en%s religious peacebuilding, which is understood in its widest sense, in terms of women%s active participation in building liberating theologies and societies. It is about the promotion of the full humanity of women. While elaborating this theme, the paper takes up Susan Brooks Thistlethwaite%s assertion that the %violence against women is the largest and longest global war.% Just peacemak-ing is very much an interfaith and interreligious work and should be placed as a crucial starting point of the urge for transformation of %violent% theologies and living everyday praxis. While women have been marginalised from peacebuild-ing generally, the emerging field of religious peacebuilding has been particularly challenging for women. The liberating theme of this paper is illumination of the ambivalence of invisibility and marginality of women in religious peacebuilding, good practices and future issues.
