Analysis of loading profile effect on testing machine calibration results
Miha Hiti, 2021, izvirni znanstveni članek

Povzetek: The paper presents an evaluation of the loading profile effect on the testing machine calibration. First, a 20 kN force transducer was calibrated in a force calibration machine. This transducer was then used for a number of calibration runs in a 600 kN material testing machine where the time step interval of the same loading profile was varied from 120 s to 0 s. Results show good agreement for most of the range but highlight an increasing error due to synchronization and filtering issues in measured signals when approaching very short step intervals and continuous loading.

Compensation of synchronization error effect in testing machine calibration
Miha Hiti, 2021, izvirni znanstveni članek

Povzetek: The paper presents an evaluation of synchronization issues when performing material testing machine calibration using continuous loading. A procedure for the compensation of a rangewide error in calibrated force values is proposed based on a correction factor determined from static and transient errors difference at a chosen force step. The procedure was applied for a calibration of a testing machine with a 20 kN force transducer and 200 N/s to 2000 N/s loading rates. The results show good performance of the compensation technique, reducing calibration errors to below 1% in non-synchronized signals even under unknown filter and delay setting.

Measurements of bridge dynamic amplification factor using bridge weigh-in-motion data
Jan Kalin, Aleš Žnidarič, Andrej Anžlin, Maja Kreslin, 2022, izvirni znanstveni članek

Povzetek: The dynamic component of bridge traffic loading is commonly taken into account with a Dynamic Amplification Factor (DAF)—the ratio between the dynamic and static load effects on a bridge. In the design codes, this factor is generally more conservative than in reality. Recently a new method of cal- culation of this factor had been developed. Data from 15 different bridges have been analysed since then and this paper presents the results of the analyses. The background for Bridge Weigh-in-Motion is given, and the most recent method for DAF calculation is described. The sites from which the data originated are presented, and the selection of data discussed. The results of the analyses are presented and discussed and some examples of DAF calculations are shown. Data from the considered sites have invariably demonstrated a DAF decrease with increasing axle load. This is a significant result, especially for assessment of existing structures, since it is beneficial to use measured structural param- eters to optimise structural analysis.

Wheelslip in skidding with the AGT 835 T adapted farm tractor
Jurij Marenče, Boštjan Košir, 2007, izvirni znanstveni članek

Povzetek: The paper presents a wheelslip measurement method for small farm tractors (AGT835 T) adapted for skidding, with mechanical and hydrostatic mechanical transmissions. The research focused on uphill skidding, as slip values measured in uphill skidding are higher than in downhill skidding. A comparisonwas made of the performance of tractors carrying equal load but equipped with mechanical and hydrostatic transmission systems. The hydrostaticdrive causes higher negative load values in downhill skidding, and slightly higher slippage. As for hydrostatic tractors, wheelslip is higher in uphill skidding than in downhill skidding. The increase in the sloping of the terrain causes wheelslip to rise progressively. When a tractor travels uphill, slip is linked to a loss of energy. Wheelslip measurements are therefore important for determining the optimum conditions for individual tractor types.
