3. Prolegomena to agapeology : reflections on love as panexperiential phenomenonLenart Škof, 2025, original scientific article Abstract: This paper is an attempt to reflect upon the hidden or mysterious logic of love as an ontological and panexperiential phenomenon. In our attempt, we are crossing the fields of philosophy, spirituality, and contemporary research in psi phenomena (also known as paranormal phenomena) and investigating some historical conditions of margins and disputes between the disciplines based on David Ray Griffin’s work, Parapsychology, Philosophy, and Spirituality. In the main part of this paper, we present the aesthetic theory of force by Christoph Menke and follow his rich analyses on the hidden, obscure layers of the soul. Based on these analyses, we present our own thesis on agapeology as being related both to psi phenomena and aesthetic phenomena. Throughout the history of religion and Western science, magical and miraculous events were too often relegated to the domain of faith or superstition and dismissed almost entirely. In the final parts of this paper, we aim to show that using the approaches of synchronicity (C.G. Jung) and ontology of the ground (F.W.J., Schelling) and acknowledging the phenomena known as quantum entanglement (C. Keller), we can postulate an underlying nexus, providing us with an access to the agapeistic effects of what we idiosyncratically call the phenomenon of dark love.

4. O sanjah, človeški imaginaciji in tehnologijiLenart Škof, 2025, independent scientific component part or a chapter in a monograph Abstract: V poglavju ponujam razmislek o človeški imaginaciji, smotru tehnologije in prihodnosti človeštva v dobi antropocena. Uvodoma predstavim okoljsko krizo in poudarim potrebo po zaščiti in varovanju narave. Nato v prvem delu podajam razlago sanj o potniškem letalu in jo navežem na Bachelardovo teorijo o imaginaciji zraka in oniričnem letu. Prikažem, kako močno je danes tehnika vpeta v naša življenja in kako tesno prepletena je z nami. To postavim za izhodišče drugega dela poglavja, v katerem se posvetim Martinu Heideggerju in njegovemu vprašanju po tehniki. Na podlagi analize Heideggerjeve temeljne razprave o tehniki zagovarjam alternativno možnost pojmovanja artefaktov (kot so različna orodja ali tudi potniško letalo), in sicer ne le kot razpoložljiv obstanek, marveč kot način (ontološkega) razkrivanja. Tretji in zadnji del razprave je posvečen teologinji Ilii Delio in njeni teilhardovski kozmični viziji prihodnosti tehnološkega napredka. Tehnologija je za Delio del kozmičnega narativa, v katerem človek predstavlja razmišljujoči segment univerzuma. Članek sklenem z mislijo o novi elementarni zavesti in imaginaciji, v kateri narava, njena življenjska sila in najnaprednejša tehnika in tehnologija, vključno z umetno inteligenco, tvorijo novo panenteistično celoto.

5. Poljub z dihom : filozofska teologija ljubečega srečanjaLenart Škof, 2023, original scientific article Abstract: Članek se ukvarja s premišljevanjem logike božanske ljubezni v budističnih tantrah, krščanski mistiki ter sodobni zahodni filozofiji religije in filozofski teologiji. Osnovna teza članka je, da vse omenjene tematizacije ljubezni povezuje arhaična povezanost popolnega in enotnega para, ki je bila izgubljena z razvitjem prvih plasti bivanja. Iskanje te izgubljene enosti para se v prvem delu izvaja z obravnavo budističnih tantričnih spisov, ki jim sledijo krščanski mistični spisi. V okviru krščanskega pojmovanja se opiramo na Jakoba Böhmeja in Franza von Baaderja ter njuno eksplikacijo logike izvornega para in poljuba z dihom. V drugem delu se pomaknemo za korak naprej v smeri filozofije in teologije ljubezni kot bližine in intimnosti v okviru misli Ludwiga Feuerbacha in Luce Irigaray. V tem delu tudi kritično premišljujemo o heteronormativni logiki teologije ljubezni. Eksplikacija ljubezni Feuerbacha in Irigaray nas nazadnje vodi v tretji del, v katerem se v navezavi na Catherine Keller sprašujemo o možnostih povezave filozofije ljubezni in kvantne prepletenosti. Prispevek sklenemo z meditacijo o bližini para in dvojine.

6. Animal pneuma : reflections on environmental respiratory phenomenologyLenart Škof, 2024, original scientific article Abstract: This essay is an attempt to propose an outline of a new respiratory animal philosophy. Based on an analysis of the forgetting of breath in Western philosophy, it aims to gesture towards a future, breathful and compassionate world of co-sharing and co-breathing. In the first part, the basic features of forgetting of breath are explained based on David Abram’s work in respiratory ecophilosophy. This part also introduces an important contribution to modern philosophy by Ludwig Klages. The second part is dedicated to reflections on what I understand as an unfortunate transition from soul and pneuma to spirit and Geist. Based on these analyses, I proceed towards an idiosyncratic thought on the nocturnal mystery of pneuma, with references to ancient Upanishadic and 20th-century phenomenological Levinasian thought. Based on these teachings, I argue that, at the bottom of her existence, the subject is a lung partaking in an immense external lung (Merleau-Ponty). In the fourth part of the essay, I extend my reflections toward comparative animal respiratory phenomenology and argue for the immense compassion for all our fellow breathing beings. Finally, in the concluding, fifth part of this essay, I am arguing for a future biocentric and breathful environment, signifying and bringing a new compassionate-respiratory alliance into the world.

7. On dreams, human imagination, and technologyLenart Škof, 2023, original scientific article Abstract: In this paper, I reflect on human imagination, the intention of technology, and the future of humanity in the era of the Anthropocene. I begin by presenting the environmental crisis and declare a need to protect and safeguard nature. In the first part, I offer an explanation of a dream of an airliner and link it to the Bachelardian theory of aerial imagination and oneiric flight. I show how, today, technology has entered our lives profoundly and how it has become closely intertwined with us human beings. Based on this, the second part is dedicated to Martin Heidegger and his question concerning technology. By analyzing Heidegger’s seminal essay on technology, I argue for an alternative possibility of thinking about human artefacts (such as various tools or even an airliner) beyond them being merely a standing-reserve and thus rather as a mode of unconcealement. The third and last part of this essay is dedicated to Ilia Delio’s Teilhardian cosmic vision of the future of technological progress. Technology, for Delio, is a part of this cosmic narrative and human beings represent the thinking portion of the universe. I conclude with a thought on a new elemental consciousness and imagination, in which nature, its life force, and the most advanced technology, including AI, would become a part of a new panentheistic whole.
