In a corpus comprised of 150 articles (104,806 words), we identified the expressions which were the instantiations of various conceptual metaphors with accession as the target domain. The accession, a dynamic process in itself, was generally presented via dynamic metaphors (travelling, entering a house, schooling, etc.); however, the dynamics of the processes presented via these metaphors was almost always contextually reduced (the travelling was long, slow or endless; the person entering the house could not move past the doorstep or they found the door closed or just slightly open; the student did not finish school or did not make progress …). The more frequent metaphors were a continuation of the conventional patterns from the earlier period, whereas the less frequent metaphors proved more creative.</dc:description><dc:date>2022</dc:date><dc:date>2026-07-28 16:04:39</dc:date><dc:type>Delo ni kategorizirano</dc:type><dc:identifier>31335</dc:identifier><dc:identifier>UDK: 009, 327:659.3(4-6EU)(497)</dc:identifier><dc:identifier>ISSN pri članku: 1408-5348</dc:identifier><dc:identifier>DOI: 10.19233/ASHS.2022.27</dc:identifier><dc:identifier>COBISS_ID: 153828867</dc:identifier><dc:language>sl</dc:language><dc:rights>Imetniki avtorskih pravic na prispevkih so avtorji.
