Although subjects of the same Monarchy, they belonged to different kingdoms with their own legal and cultural traditions, and were thus perceived in Palermo as a kind of “recognizable” foreigner. Through textual analysis of primary sources and their integration into contemporary theoretical frameworks, this article seeks to explore the capacity of individuals to adapt to foreign institutions and environments.</dc:description><dc:date>2025</dc:date><dc:date>2026-06-15 21:48:39</dc:date><dc:type>Delo ni kategorizirano</dc:type><dc:identifier>30125</dc:identifier><dc:identifier>UDK: 94(5)</dc:identifier><dc:identifier>ISSN pri članku: 1318-0185</dc:identifier><dc:identifier>DOI: 10.19233/AH.2025.11</dc:identifier><dc:identifier>COBISS_ID: 264522499</dc:identifier><dc:language>sl</dc:language><dc:rights>Imetniki avtorskih pravic na prispevkih so avtorji.
