All issues of the most well-known Slovenian forest journal, Gozdarski vestnik, monographs, and selected books were analysed regarding their contents and classified into six categories: legislation; general forest management and socio-economic conditions; silviculture and forest management; natural, cultural, technical heritage and wood use; organization of forestry; and miscellanea. The largest volume of contributions belonged to the description of forest management and socio-economic conditions, silviculture and forest management, and the organisation of forestry.
