Samples were collected from symptomatic host trees at different sampling locations as part of the national surveillance programme. Fungal isolates were obtained from the margins of necrotic lesions by culturing wood and bark tissues on potato dextrose agar supplemented with streptomycin. The isolates were grouped according to their morphological characteristics and identified using molecular methods. The dataset contains records of the identified fungal isolates together with associated sampling information, including sampling location, sampling date, host species, sample type, and fungal identification. The dataset was used to identify the six most frequently isolated fungal species from symptomatic common walnut trees, which were subsequently selected for pathogenicity test in the associated publication.</dc:description><dc:publisher>Gozdarski inštitut Slovenije</dc:publisher><dc:date>2026</dc:date><dc:date>2026-07-28 13:01:28</dc:date><dc:type>Neznano</dc:type><dc:identifier>31327</dc:identifier><dc:language>sl</dc:language></rdf:Description></rdf:RDF>
