Abstract:Prispevek obravnava zaostajanje obnove v slovenskih gozdovih, ki že ogroža trajnost gozdov in njihovih splošnokoristnih funkcij.

Title:Regeneration, including planting assisted regeneration, is a condition for keeping the sustainability of all roles of Slovenian forests
Abstract:This article deals with the regeneration lag in Slovenian forests, since it already endangers the sustainability of the forests and their commonly beneficial functions. We estimate that the forest management plans and annual plans of investments into forests adapt more and more to the available financial means and not to the actual forest needs. To ensure sustainability and efficiency of the site potential, in addition to the natural regeneration, 10 percent of the areas should be regenerated by planting. Also, seed trade and tree nursery trade%s long-term orientation should be focused on the growing of appropriate seedlings.
Keywords:sustainability, regeneration, regeneration share with planting, seedlings, planting, seed trade, tree nursery trade, forest management planning
