3. Kompoziti iz skorje: nova gozdarsko-lesarska vrednostna verigaSergej Medved, Grega Vilman, Urban Tajher, Mark Sever, Alan Antonović, 2023, izvirni znanstveni članek Povzetek: Skorja je večopravilni (večfunkcijski) material, saj deluje kot zaščita (pred fizikalnimi in mehanskimi poškodbami, pa tudi pred biološko razgradnjo), omogoča transport vode in plinov, občasno pomaga pri fotosintezi in nudi podporo drevesu.

6. Evaluation of water equivalency of Plastic waterTM for high-energy electron beams using IAEA TRS-398 code of practiceBožidar Casar, Urban Zdešar, Vlado Robar, 2004, izvirni znanstveni članek Povzetek: Electrochemotherapy (ECT) is a novel method for efficient tumor treatment in clinical environment. It combines local drug delivery and application of shorthigh voltage pulses, which permeabilize the plasma membrane by electroporation. Drug can enter only the cells with permeabilzed membrane. Recently, medical device CliniporatorTM for controlled electroporation was developed. Here, we present a web-application that extends the functionality of this medical device. The aim of the application is to collect, store and toallow the analysis of every ECT application using this medical device. The application helps transferring data collected by dev;ce during the electroporation process to the central database, and enables filling of medical records through the web forms. The application is based on technologies ASP, HTML, Flash, JavaScript, XML and others. The application main advantages are easy and rapid data access, scalability and independence of client computer operating system as well as easy application debugging and upgrading. 10. Evaluation of silicona microstrip detectors as X-ray sensors in digital mammographyTadej Mali, Vladimir Cindro, Marko Mikuž, Urban Zdešar, Breda Jančar, 1999, izvirni znanstveni članek Povzetek: Background. Position sensitive silicon microstrip detectors are used as sensors for X rays in a digital imaging system. Silicon detectors were used inan edgeon geometry, yielding high X ray detection efficiency. Material and methods. A small detector system was assembled and tested. Images of a standard, 5 cm thick phantom were made and evaluated. It is demonstrated, thatthe use of silicon detectors in mammography could significantly contributeto a reduction of dose. All images were made with skin entrance doses lower than 1 mGy. Results and conclusion. Microcalcifications with a diameter of 350microm could still be detected with skin entrance doses of about 0.25 mGy. It was demonstrated that a 5 Ip/mm pattern can be detected. Image processing should further improve the image quality.
